Round 15 discussion.
So, here we go- round 15. Should be a couple of good games this round- Geelong v Hawthorn is always a beauty – especially big because the Hawks are on fire! Should be a cracker!
On a non-football related topic though, I just found out today that Review, with Miles Barlow is coming back with a second season- Love that show!
I hope it doesn’t go to penalties… Such a shit way to decide a world cup final… I still think if Torres gets a run in extra time, with tired defenders to run at he’ll be very dangerous… Wait n see I guess..
yes, extra time.
I think Spains preference would be to keep david villa on for whole match in case of a shoot out. they will prob bring torres on late in extra time for someone who isnt so good at taking penaltys. just guessing really. but thats what id do… as long as villa is fit enough.
penalty shoot out is good to watch so i wouldnt mind it.
Ye i enjoy watching penalties, normally..’but to decide a world cup final it’s so tough for the loser haha
But I guess u can’t let them play forever lol
good save with his foot
Both keepers have pulled off huge saves tonight…
yeah the games gotta be decided somehow.
they have. there have also been a lot of shots that should have been better taken.
I love you Fabregas. You Captain Arsenal, and you want to play for Barca which are my two Euro teams but please stop playing so well in extra time and go the Dutch.
spain deserve the win. holland realised pretty early on that they couldnt match them and decided to sit back and counter for the rest of the game. Its opened up a lot now in extra time, but Spain still been the better side all match.
however id still like to see a shoot out.
there you go, they did take villa off. i thought theyd bring torres on for someone else.
Torres to score late on… Come on! Haha
Goooaaaalllll
wow. they deserve that but it should have been a corner down the other end.
well done spain. were definately the best team in world cup and deserving winners!
Very disappointed but at least it was a Barca player who kicked the winner. Rooney your pathetic and wouldn’t get a game in an Australian Football D grade league reserves team you hack.
Ye shouldn’t been a corner but what can ya do… Spain have been the best side for 3years, best players and great to watch so I’m happy… As a Liverpool supporter though, Torres injured… Again!
Ah well… Bed time haha
Go Spain!
dont worry torn. he was prob just trying to stop play with a min to go. didnt happen anyway. they kept playing.
Spain are definately best team to watch. very classy. Im glad they won.
its only 5:20 am over here in WA. Im off to bed for a bit.
Time to head off to work.
Beat two top teams in leagues and retained the slightest hope of sniffing a top8 spot in the TS50 leagues.
All thanks to Goodes and the super sub Hendo.
Can the man beat the JPod from here? That’s my hope.
Anyway looking forward to a big game on Saturday as the Pies understrength (no doubt without Cloke and possibly Anthony, most likely Dick and Davis) try to take on an ever strengthening St Kilda (you’d imagine Goddard and Riewoldt will be back and firing).
I’d think the Saints start clear favourites. In honest terms I think they are the team to beat for the flag. But you never know.
Oh yeah and I must say pretty nice weekend:
Decent world cup final won by a great setup and score not by penalties.
Paul the Octopus got the selection right again and may live to the next Euro?
Collingwood won in a ten goal turnaround
Choco Williams got a decent send off at least; all he deserved as his record since 2003 is better than Mick M
Wife happy as Geelong beat Hawthorn, one of the teams she loves beating
Carlton got hammered
My team finally won all 3 league games for the first time this year
Webber won and stuck it up the Kraut
Cadel Evans got the maillot jeune in the TDF. Don’t go too early or you’ll blow up buddy. Take your time and win. Schleck looking good but possession is 9/10ths of the law
All in all a super weekend.
Those who kept faith in Kennelly he repaid you’s yesterday. Thanks Kennelly!
As for Goodes, Time to jump on the train if he is going to be spending time in the midfield?
@essendondc – i kept the faith with the irishmen all though i was very close to giving him the flick! And i jumped on the goods train for medhurst in round 10 and patience was wearing thin but has come through yesterday hope he does stay in the mids
Wow, Reiwoldt drops in price by $51k! Looks like a tasty upgrade this week I reckon.
Medhurst > Reiwoldt and Maguire > Lake. With 4 trades left after these 2 trades that should settle my side leading into the finals.
Stats page hasn’t updated yet but Roo will still have a large BE this week General, so can prob wait at least another before picking him up. Gives you another chance to look at his form and make sure he’s over the injury too.
Yep, good point, turbo, good point. I should beat my opponent in my league without the need to upgrade this week so waiting another week won’t harm. Thanks.
With scores of 25 and 65 to add to this weeks score. Roo will be going down a substantial amount especially if his trouble against the Pies. This is the only time where Presti will have a chance of competing with him.
Fair suck CJ Presti had Riewoldt done up last match.
Roo got 20 points in the first half while fully fit I must say and upped to 25 as the match went on and he sat icing the hammie.
I’d think interestingly enough the Pies might just throw Ben Reid onto him to see if he can rebound from being taught a football lesson by JB.
I think it’s always good playing good teams and doing it at not quite full strength but with enough missing from each team to make it fair. I think Cloke is a bigger loss than maybe Kosi though. Particularly if Anthony also gets suspended.
I would definitely wait on Roo but watch with interest. I’d be thinking more “the other Riewoldt” if you wanted an upgrade this week.
i personally will be waiting a few weeks i saw yesterday even with a 140 next week price will drop under 500k!
also look at martin up to swan in coming weeks need to hold off round 16 just 4 trades left and 438k left
Ironically, we were just discussing this just last week, but hands up anyone who traded Goodes out last week only to watch on in horror as Roos at last threw him into the midfield, smashing out 173!
Gotta love the Goodes. Never in doubt. In fact I predicted it in the best buys (yes it was two weeks ago):
“Form is temporary, class is permanent, and if you have a team of classy but out of form players – people like Adam Goodes for example – you just need to do the BonJovi and Keep the Faith. He could pump out a 150 on the ball this week, you never know.”
@Julian, muppet or not, at least my name isn’t Julian.
Re: Super Spuds
Disappointed a place could not be found on the bench for Sebastian Vettel and Rooney, with Grant Thomas as Umpires Coach.
How on this site in which i generally agree with all advice and guidance did Leigh ‘the spud’ Brown not get added to the list of rubbish players??
Am I missing something?
And Tim Watson as Vice Coach…..
No wonder St Kilda battle for soooo long.
yeah i tried to suggest leigh brown earlier
