Round 17 Teams
When a mummy team and a daddy team love each other very much… Team happen.
So, teams are out and every trade is becoming like gold. So it’s a welcome relief that we are seeing some big ins this week. Namely with the names Franklin, Hall and Johnson should bolster a lot of forwardlines.
Sadly though for the people that held him, Hille still isn’t back, but he should be back next week.
Any last minute downgrades would have to be happy with the inclusion of Kyle Hardingham and the continued selection of Ashley Smith. There’s also a pair of Freo youngins that should be worth a lookin.
Personally though, I’m a little sad that Crichton is getting a game this year- I had him pencilled in for my squad next year!

Martin Or Carrats to score more this week?
im going to hold, but Martin->K.Cornes looked downright tasty
@fryzie – I’ve got both, but I’d go Gilbee. Enright has gone strangely cold the last 2 matches and looks a bit out of sorts ( getting caught with the ball too often).
that would have been sneaky as you say!
Wow, i just looked at Carlton’s run home, and i am honestly glad i don’t have Judd, or any other Carlton player. West Coast at Subi, then Collingwood, Essendon, Richmond, Geelong and Freo at Subi. And with the strain of carrying the team for the year, i’d say that Judd is gonna be screwed after this string of games. IF they manage to make finals, he will be so stuffed that they will lose first week i reckon.
Hey Guys,
who should I play up front out of -
Higgins, Watts, Hall, Fyfe
Need to pick two with the other two being benched.
Need some advice guys, my team with…… 4 trades left…66k
Hodge…Goddard…Enright…Gilbert…Maguire…Hunt…Webberly/Nason
Ablett…Montagna…Judd…Cooney…Goodes…Martin…Higgins/Gysberts
Sandilands…Jamar…Warnock/Stanley
Frankilin…Pav…JB…Okeefe…Didak…Rioli…Pods…Hitchcock/Rohan
Option1
Hunt> Gilbee
Maguire>H.Taylor/Hurn/Hargave/Harbrow?????????
Martin>80k
Higgins>Chapman
Option2
Hunt>Gilbee
Maguire>H.Shaw
Martin>80k
Higgins>M.Murphy
@claud
Definitely Hall for mine, he is playing against Freo with like 4 of its best defenders out. And the second is a toughie. Watts hasn’t been great and Higgins is really spudding it up lately, so i would have to go with Fyfe. Hall and Fyfe.
decisions decisions maguire or webberly to sub for goodwin
@Greg
Don’t do option 2, imo Marc Murphy is not who you want right now with Carlton’s draw. Option one doesn’t look that great for mine either. It’s better than option 2, but keep looking i reckon, there are better combos out there.
Gonna cop my first 0 of the year.. Goodwin, Shaw, Silvagni out.
Makes my captain choice very important..
Bama Hille is still out Warnock playing for CVC.
Who should get the C.. Ablett Goddard Hodge Chapman???
hille back next week. warnock hopefully scores 50+
Bennn i like chapman
Hi guys, need some advice, 1st year supercoacher
My team so far:
Def: Goddard, Hodge, Malceski, Gilbert, Russell, Fisher, Henderson (A.smith,C.heath)
Mid: Swan, Ablett, Gilbee, Pavlich, Judd, Bastinac (Farmer, Stevenson)
Ruc: Sandilands, Blake (J.roughead, McNamara)
Fwd: Chapman, Didak, Grundy, Goodes, Pods, Rockilff, Fyfe (Gumbleton, A.Moore)
4 trades left – $311,500
First off I was thinking to upgrade Bastinac to Swallow or Cooney, but not sure if bastinac would go up in value anymore
Fyfe would be my next upgrade target but not sure to who, thinking Riewoldt if his price goes down any further.
Lastly with henderson he’s still picking up value so maybe trade him out in 2 or 3 rounds for a premium if I have any change leftover lol
Any advice would be appreciated, as I’m in no rush to trade as the 2 weeks ahead of me I will be against the 2 bottom teams so I should be alright and I’m in top 5 in the ladder.
Just wanted to know which of the rookies I have are at their peak and if I should trade em.
Thanks!
@Greg. Theres still heaps of rounds left mate.. id reckon youll need at least three to cover your injuries and then left with maybe 1 or 2 if your lucky for some upgrading
im suprised no one likes boomer harvey this week.. im taking a risk and watch it pay off.. mark this post!! lol
@Turbo08 – Champion! Thanks for the tips!
Yeah Bennn…im thinking
one trade every week for me or no trade this
Rnd17
Rnd18
1st final
then prelim
what about selwood for capt? playing at skilled has to help..
Selwood versus a Brisbane team who are the worst clearance team in the competition playing without their only inside midfielder of note, lock in the C!
@Claud Hall and Higgins
selwood for the big C it is!
That’s my reasoning for Selwood anyway, negatives include the number of Geelong superstars that could eat away at the points pie, however he’s been in sparkling form and it has been clear that he’s being groomed as the centrepiece of the Geelong onball brigade post Ablett.
Are we all doubting Ablett? When someones backs against the wall you sometimes see something superhuman.
Reckons ablett would be a good option people starting to doubt him will turn it on at home against weak opposition
If Ablett is playing the majority of the game int he forward line he’s not going to be scoring in the 140s+. Chapman has been playing moreso in the middle as a result and his scoring has improved in contrast to Ablett’s diminishing scores.
The only captain worthy game out of the last 5 that Ablett played (154) was when Chapman was out of the Geelong side.
Go jesus go
Wouldnt say chapman has improved lately. Has been solid all year. Last game wasnt so flash mind.
Would not dis anyone for Captaining him tho, thats for sure.
yeah ablett been down reckon hell pull his finger out thats what makes supercoach soo exciting now got to take a gamble on captain, last 3 weeks got it right with hodge last week sandi week before goddard before that this week i believe it will be abletts turn
@Fryzie
Fisher.
Selwood for captain it is. It has only taken me all afternoon to make this decision. I am on my knees now praying to the Supercoach gods hoping that Selwood runs amok.
steve any geelong player would be a good option imo should get 120 safely
Selwood, Chapman, Montagna, Dal Santo, Goddard, all viable choices, it’s really a crapshoot.
Just went Nason > Smith (should’ve done it before he got concussed and I would’ve made more money, but ah well, that’s just luck).
Gives me 230k and 5 in the bank
D: Goddard Hodge Enright Lake Malceski Scotland Hunt Webberley Smith
M: Ablett Selwood Swan NDS Montagna Simpson Rohan JKT
F: Chapman Franklin ROK Brown Podsiadly Rockliff Fyfe Murphy Playfair
Obviously the only possible upgrades are one more premium back and the forwards. Maybe Fyfe or Murphy, I’m a bit undecided on who though because if I go Goodes it has to be this week, if it’s Pav I can wait one more week, ditto on Riewoldt. I’d like to do something with F9 too but I suppose there’s no value in that and I better just consider it dead.
have playfair as well would leave that alone as long as you got 8 fwds playing should ok same with defence
probably upgrade simpson as well blues got tough run home and hes no premium
what do u think fellas, which of the following should be on my field? hall, fyfe rockcliff??
Kozzie who???????
Nah Simpson’s a wasted upgrade. It was good anyways because the money I saved will do my other upgrades. It was down to Simpson or Pav so it’s been a bit of a much of muchness lol, I think I’ll upgrade Fyfe and hope I never need to use F9.
Gilbert’s going to be cheap as chips for my last backline upgrade I think. Sweet.
Riewoldt’s looking like he’s starting to play ok.
If Gilbert is given a forward tag he’ll be just as useless as he was tonight, Fisher could be freed up however. Not gonna read too much into Riewoldt tonight, was given way too much latitude by Gibson.
I went Montagna as Captain= ouch!
I bet Ablett scores 100+
Montagna was chopping up until he injured his groin thanks to the shitheap surface of Etihad, not even fit for a cow paddock.
Selwood as captain 2nd week in a row Giddy Up
Hehe!!!
