The Gameday Tab.

Alright guys, this will probably be my last post until after lock-out.

Some selfish brother-in-law of mine is have a wedding this weekend. (Of all weeks!)

So I won’t be around here to fix anything if it goes wrong.

I can however give you something new to break while I’m gone.

The Gameday tab

Under here, provided all goes to plan (and doesn’t break while I’m away!), will include all sorts of handy information under pre-game, and live statistics while the game is happening.

The pre-game tab currently hosts the following information.

The top 5 players for each team in the following categories:
- Highest average for the season.
- Highest average over the last 3 games.
- Highest average against that particular team in the last 3 games.
- highest average at that ground over the last 3 games.

It also has weather report that will for the most parts be updated daily (unless I’m at a wedding!).

The live tab will contain live Dreamteam scores and semi-live Supercoach scores (ie- quarterly updates).

An added benefit here is that any players on you team, or watchlists, will be highlighted for ease of viewing.

There’s also other assorted plans for this screen in the future, but hey, I’ve had a team to plan!

I would love to hear any suggestions in the comments.

Good luck all – and may all your team be named.

(ps- don’t trust the 160 minute malestrom! It’s gunna be chaos!)

Nice work. The live will be great.
    Cheers

Heh have a good time at the wedding. At least it is not the Grand Final weekend! Seriously!

Yeah one of my friends did the unthinkable last year and I had to leave my gf bbq with big screen setup around half time. Watched the game late that night after amazingly not finding out the result.

Agree with Walesy about the logjam tonight. Get a team in early. If your rookies are good enough they’ll play soon enough (eg Palmer last year who screwed all of us up)

    Best of luck to all

What’s with only the quarterly updates on the Supercoach scores? Fanfooty has the same…why is that?

  5. Lucas says:

Parasite, I think it’s because of the old “supercoach swing” where the scores update during the game, and then get reviewed at the quarter breaks.

    Confirm if I’m wrong Walesy

  6. Parasite says:

Even if it changes during the breaks, why not show the live scores in the meantime? I know they exist, I have them.

  7. Steve says:

Parasite, if you want to see the live Supercoach scores, go to the AFL website and click on Gameday and then the game you want to see. All of the scores update immediately. Some of the scores do change at the breaks but you still get a good idea as to how your players are travelling.

  8. Lucas says:

Steve….not anymore (or at least during NAB)

The idiots during NAB had only DT points live.

It’s down to TS and FF and maybe some other ones I’m unaware of.

TS and FF are probably only doing qtr-by-qtr because otherwise Champion Data would sue the pants off us.

  9. walesy says:

That’s the ticket! And I quite like having pants! Really, they keep my legs warm in the winter and hide my shame from the world.

I would hate for Champion Data to take that. :P

Well it looks like the ’scores’ aren’t right, bit of a shifty there ;) Sneaky buggers.
