Captains – Round 2.

I don’t have time this week to do research for you all, but I can say that Johnno Brown is as tempting as a threesome with Lara Bingle and Jen Hawkins. Others that look to score big are Pavlich and Brent Harvey after a poor first week. If you do have Ablett, well you should not have even read this far. Bartel, Corey, Selwood also should be strongly considered against a weak Richmond outfit.

No brainer – Bartel or Ablett
Surely no one would have gone into the year without at least one of these.

  2. walesy says:

    Lock it in, GAAAARRRAAAABBBLLLLLLEETTTTT!

JB is certainly a big call- But he does have the record against the Blues, doesn’t he! :)

  3. chris says:

down in the wet in Geelong…hard ball gets, clearances….obviously Gaz….

how about a smokey…J Selwood…loves the wet, the new wet weather specialist

  4. Ben says:

Bartel, best wet weather footballer in the AFL and loves Skilled.

  5. Heater says:

Gazza for me. Can’t see any Richmond players shutting the lad down.

  6. chris says:

Ben – used to agree, but think Selwood MAY have JUST overtaken him…no one wants the ball more and goes in harder in the game than Joel (in my opinion)…

as an aside on Jimmy boy…is it just me or has he gone back to ‘07 style Jimmy…allow me to explain…last year i noticed him handballing out of packs a bit more, whereas in ‘07, i thought he just got the ball and hacked it forward with the boot most times out of a pack…saw that again in the NAB cup and a few times against Hawks aswell…dunno what this has to do with anything, but anyway…

  7. Clint says:

My pick will be Ablett with a eye on the weather forecast on friday arvo.If the rain comes in, in comes Jimmy.

  8. Steve says:

Gazza is a lock as captain regardless of the weather.

  9. Rohan says:

IMO If you took the punt on including Ablett in your starting side at 712k not sure why you would even consider anyone else as cap unless Gazza was running out on one leg

  10. chris says:

even Gazza on 1 leg u would still make captain….will still get 150…

  11. Captain Fantasy says:

Pavlich & Brown are interesting ones there. Too many people are jumping to conclusions with Richmond, they may be more competative this week (SC scores-wise at least!).

  12. walesy says:

yep. most signs point to Ablett (cept his last 3 games at Skilled haven’t been very good. :D )

  13. Brayden says:

Well, since no Bartel or Ablett. I’m tossing up between Brown or Selwood.

Even though Judd scores well agaisnt the Lions, he has that cold.

  14. walesy says:

Didn’t you learn anything from BHAJ!! :D

I reckon Kane would be a bit of a goer if you got him. :D

And lock Studly in for a 112! :D

  15. Brayden says:

I didn’t like BHAJ, I prefer going for the roughie – Knights and Wells. They are no captains, but you watch, I won’t regret it.

  16. Lucas says:

I only put one of the BHAJ in (B) but put in players who could grow into the roles in Selwood, Gibbs and Wells.
I agree come eoy many will have wanted these 3 in the team

That said I want a slow few wks from Gaz, Judd and Hodgie.

On SS, Bartel is king down there. Unless its against the Swans – then Ablett and a few late goals scores massively.

I reckon my vc the chapstick will go more than ok this wk also.

  17. Clint says:

I hav Ablett but have gone for Jimmy not James. Currently doing a rain dance and hoping for the storm of the century.
