A couple of good matches, albeit the Cows are without Fyfe (ave 122) and the forward libe looks weak without Elliott (ave 83) and Robinson (ave 83). That's a lot of points to lose to injury and stupidity. However, the cods have no GAJ so there is some 'justice.' One observation - a prize in our game is a place in the grand final, something both of us really value.

Wagga Wagga The first ever semi-final for the Wombats has arrived after a big last week saw us defeat Darraweit. It was a timely return to form for our lads who have struggled 3 weeks prior to last week. However, this weeks opponent is of a different calibre. Foul Bay have stars wherever you look, so the boys understand the challenge ahead. Good luck Chief. In: L.Thomas Out: Jenkins Def: Malceski, R.Murphy, S.D.Thompson, D.Swallow (Dempsey) Mid: Watson, Bastinac, Prestia, D.Shiel (Sheed) Ruc: Cox Fwd: Schulz, Franklin, L.Thomas, Higgins (Jenkins) Int: Dunn, Lycett (O'Shea) Team news: Just the one change from last week's side with Josh Jenkins missing out after some scratchy form of late. Lindsay Thomas comes in who has been toiling away in the 2s and we feel he is prime to make an impact in our most important game of the season.

A couple of changes to the Iron Knob team this week with big Will Minson getting the axe after a poor performance last week. Rumours swirl about his cod piece being too small and needing some reinforcement during his week off. David Mackay comes onto the park as an Interchange to replace big Will. We do welcome back young gun Jack Macrae and will benefit from his ball accumulation through our midfield. B - Hodge (C), Burgoyne, Harbrow, Hanley (Sutcliffe) M - Griffen, Macrae, Douglas, NJones (George H-S) R - Goldstein F - Waite, Darling, JRiewoldt, Breust (Goodes) I - Shuey, Mackay (Puopolo) Good luck to Chels.

The Match Committee of the Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles is pleased to announce their team for the semi-final with the Iron Knob Codpieces. After our first win in a final series some tinkering has occurred. The eagle eyed would note the return of Cam Pedersen and Tom Mitchell, and the retention of Mason Wood although north have refused to name him. D - H Taylor, Duffield, Hibberd, B Griffiths (Pedersen) M - Dal Santo, B Crouch, Hannebery, I Smith (N Graham) R - S Jacobs F - T Mitchell, Crameri, M Wright, Podsiadly (M Wood) I/C - McVeigh, H McIntosh (Ziebell) Best of luck Jimbo, no tagging please.

    Late change of little note as Sean Lemmens comes in to replace George Horlin Smith as the emergency Mid. <p style='color: #000000; margin-bottom: 10px; background: #ffffff;]B - Hodge (C), Burgoyne, Harbrow, Hanley (Sutcliffe) <p style='color: #000000; margin-bottom: 10px; background: #ffffff;]M - Griffen, Macrae, Douglas, NJones (Lemmens) <p style='color: #000000; margin-bottom: 10px; background: #ffffff;]R - Goldstein <p style='color: #000000; margin-bottom: 10px; background: #ffffff;]F - Waite, Darling, JRiewoldt, Breust (Goodes) <p style='color: #000000; margin-bottom: 10px; background: #ffffff;]I - Shuey, Mackay (Puopolo)

Looking very good at the moment Lenny. Your GC boys did the job for you. Need some massive games from my Geelong boys tonight to be any chance. We will probably know who wins by tonight's end.

Malceski, Franklin, R.Murphy and Higgins vs. M.Johnson, Liberatore, Pavlich and 62 points Current scores: Foul Bay (1102/12) lead Wagga Wagga (1040/11) Mumford's mammoth one has kept you alive.

Malceski will outscore Johnson, Buddy is going to smash Pav (and the Dogs), I guess Libba is some hope to outscore Murphy marginally (although his form in the last 6 weeks has been average to put it nicely) and Higgins should get over 62 points. I have you winning by at least 50 points. Think I might get the second highest score of the round, but that's what you get for not finishing high enough on the ladder :) No complaints.

Pav a late, late out. Makes it even tougher. Dahlhaus to come in for Pav, but expecting nothing from him against the Swans.

Congrats Jimbo, have not been keeping score but the Waikick's weaknesses have been exposed for all to see. Mad monday and planning for the transfer window for me, a first final for you.

Well done Lenny on the victory and congrats to Jim also. Finally that grand final berth that you have deserved for a while. It was a good run while it lasted by the boys, but too many scores between 80-100 and not enough big scores was ultimately the story of the season. After a very promising first 10 or so weeks, we petered out quite badly in the finish, apart from a few lone individual efforts. Back to the drawing board for me, will be a different (nice) feeling to hopefully not have the target on my back any more.

Unlucky for your mob who were clearly a better side than my Wombats all season but congrats on yet another great season.
