Monday 11th January - RMT Mega Thread Now Open http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/2016-rmt-mega-thread.89229

Friday Jan 29 - SC opens
tbd???? - RDT and AFL Fantasy open

Feb 18 - 21 - Nab Cup Week 1 (Essendon have the bye)
    Feb 25 - 28 - Nab Cup Week 2
    Mar 3 - 6 - Nab Cup Week 3
Mar 10-13 - Nab Cup Week 4 (all 18 teams)
tbd??? - Full Nab cup SC scores released

Expected Rd 1 timing (please comment below if you think changes are needed)
Monday March 21 - Round 1 debut leaks/announcements to start (hopefully)
Wednesday March 23 - Rich vs Carl teams named
Thursday March 24 - Round 1 teams named - extended squads for Sunday and Monday games
Thursday March 24 - Rich vs Carl 720pm (Late changes at 550pm, teams presumably somewhere between 6 and 7pm ish, might be very tight to make any adjustments)
Friday March 25 (Good Friday) - Sunday squads finalised - (18 hours to adjust teams prior to Saturday matches, TTH to make 2-3 changes to bring in 2016's hyped midpriced players which are guaranteed to be shocking picks)
Saturday March 26 - Melb vs GWS 140pm (late changes 1210pm), GCS vs Essendon 435pm EDST, (late changes 305pm EDST), TTH's wedding anniversary (all day, but not SC relevant, no late changes expected)
Saturday March 26 - Geel vs Haw squads finalised (unsure how much time to adjust teams prior to night matches)
Saturday March 26 - NM vs Adelaide, Swans vs Colingwood (both 725pm, late changes at 555pm)
Sunday March 27 (Easter Sunday) - WB vs Freo 110pm (Late changes 1140am), Port Adelaide vs StKilda 320pm EDST (Late changes 150pm EDST), WCE vs Brisbane 740pm EDST (late changes 610pm EDST)
Monday March 28 - Geel vs Hawthorn 320pm (late changes 150pm), 7pm onwards - Rants on TS that Coach W could have scored X more points if only they had stuck to their lunch and picked Player Y instead of Player Z

have I/we missed or buggered up anything?? do we need any polls??
What's your high level plan to win the $50K - GNR, underpriced premiums, midpriced mayhem, floating donut sorcery ??

and feel free to post re any other points of actual SC discussion (ie post site related issues elsewhere), Cheers TTH

from a quick glance you wouldn't back them against the 2011 Gold Coast Suns or 2012 Giants sides in terms of either senior players or depth or first year rookies - I don't know much about their mid tier aged players but they will all get opportunities and no doubt some will grab it

it is hard to think of the worst non expansion teams in the last 5 to 10 years but usually they would have started off the season with their top 6 to 10 players onfield although they normally dropped off in the latter half as injuries and "definitely not tanking" followed

anyone who values a contest will be hoping that they use their 10 topup picks well as this should help them greatly and hopefully soem do well enough to get an AFL job in 2017

the Bombers might end up surprising everyone if Woosha can get them focused as you would suspect that all the pressure will be on the other team and not them

As a mad Essendon supporter, I'm shattered after today... glad sportsbet refunded all bets.
      Hard to find any positives, although two are;
1/ two of our rookies have been backed into rising star favourites, good if you had them at nice healthy odds
2/ plenty of cheap Essendon players now with great job security for supercoach

You'd think Bird would play the majority of his time through the midfield now too, could be a smokey to average 90+
