Got another early start this week, and another series of byes.

I imagine that like me, you guys are swimming in players this week, looking at a shocker next week.

So don't be afraid to pull the trigger early on some of next weeks outs.

I'm looking at you in particular Otten/WHE/Sandi.

i dont think so mate... not big enough sample size.
im doing Fyfe to Rockliff and Sandilands to Gold Coast Lynch (via Nankervis).

would leave me with mids of: Sloane, Pendlebury, Murphy, Oliver, Rockliff, Beams, Dangerfield, Martin (barrett, cousins, bolton)

and forwards of: Macrae, Dahlhaus, Steele, Lynch (GC) Wingard, Yeo (taranto, greenwood)

cash out taranto and barrett next week to upgrade McGrath in defence and thats me done.... for better or worse!

Was split on this one, decided against it on main team and son giving it a go on his TG team, bought in JPK in the mids this week and will prob bring in Heeney next week

I was very torn between bringing in Buddy or GC Lynch this week and i settled on Buddy. He hit his ave with a 95 which I'll take first up. However i did think he'd score better seeing that he did his good work when the game was close early.

Buddy could've easily gone 120 if he kicked straight.

I brought in Rockliff myself and went early on the rookie Ryan instead of Scharenberg.

3.4 in the 1st half for buddy, so if he was a bit straighter, he would have defo been the match winner with a score closer to 150 i reckon....anyway. Glad I rolled the dice with Newman this week. Was initially thinking Marchback and Newman out for Hibberd and JJ. Would be in tears about now if I did that. Could nearly be a straight swap, Stewart for JJ in a couple of weeks.

Me too. I would've preferred Scharenberg, but I needed the cash for Buddy. If I'd settled on GC Lynch i could've afforded Scharenberg.

Ive also traded Sandi to Kruezer this week too. I loved how Goldi was no match for Krueze the other week; he also smashed Grundy when they played each other. Kreuzer is having a career year!

What peoples thoughts on bringing Cousins in for a Myers keeping in mind they gave the same bye? This would be pure cash generation (may even take his points if in the best 18 scorers out of 20 playing) Rather than burn all my trades (already moved Steele for the Bont) hold fire on WHE and Taranto for next week?

TU - Get cousins could be good bench cover and cash
      TD - Stupid idea

Posted this in the rd 11 review thread and opinions were split, so I'm posting again with the hindsight of Bont's game last night...
Bont will be dirt cheap next week, but his 4 round average of 90 doesn't sit well with me. What's going on with him ?

      Last mid upgrade:
TU: Rocky this week @ $591k
TD: Bont next week @ $536k

Apparently Callum Ah Chee is out of the Suns Round 12 match replaced by Ben Ainsworth
(Brayden Fiorini is now an emergency)

Ainsworth is a $198.3k FM and 2016 pick 4, who scored 79 and 64 in Rounds 1 & 2, then has missed since Round 3 with a Quad injury before playing NEAFL last week. I don't have his JLT stats handy so if anyone does please post them.

      TU - too expensive
      TD - worth considering

Nuts. I was hoping Ainsworth wouldn't play until next week.

Does the emg loophole still work during byes even if I have 21 active players on the field ?

ie: I've got 21 playing this week, however if Cousins goes 70+, I'll bring on Yeo for Myers.

Will it still take Cousins score as the 21st player and then work out best 18 even if I have 20 other active players ?

It sure does @Bucko, your 22 is determined as per every other week (with bye players counted as 0s) and then the best 18 comes into play if you have 19, 20, 21 or 22 scoring.

Hawthorn has been forced to make a further change to its lineup for Saturday's clash against Gold Coast at the MCG, with Luke Breust to miss the game with an illness.

Breust was withdrawn from the side late on Friday afternoon, with Kade Stewart replacing him in the Hawks' 22. Teia Miles has been added to the club's listed emergencies.

Breust has kicked the equal-most goals of any Hawk this season, 19, sharing that honour with skipper Jarryd Roughead.

Good to see Laird come good. I only brought him in last week, so I was hoping he wasn't gonna continue poor scores in my team.

I'm projected to score 2044 after a few good early scores. That would be nice from 18 players haha, but I'll believe it when I see it. A long way to go still.
