Same question, different Blog - is it worth bringing Newman in even after his previous price rise?
Thumbs up: I trade Vince for Newman (bringing Hampton or Newman onto the field) And upgrade David Swallow to pretty much anyone.
Thumbs down: Swallow to Fisher and Eddy to Balic (currently have no playing emergency in fwd line with Eddy and D. Cameron gathering dust).

Thats an interesting one ive been guilty in the past of refusing to bring in a third gamer because you knew they were available for 70 grand less a week ago and often thats come back to bite while they go on to make another 200k. Fwiw i wouldnt be trading vince out for him though, still think vince is a premium defender with mpp and is def on my upgrade list. I went for your second option. Good to see newman back no barrett though and picketts axing had to be coming

If Newman can continue to ave around the 80 mark (currently ave 86), he still has another 200k to make.

Good to see a heap of rookie options getting games this week, and there should be a few on the bubble next week too - EVW is one I'm looking at next week.

My main problems in my team now are DSwallow, Roughie and WHE.... However I'm tempted to hold them all and save my trades.
I already have Balic as I traded him in last week to free up cash for an upgrade to Rocky.
      Is Fisher a must-have?

Ive already used 6 trades and Im tempted to hold tight.

DSwallow is out anyway so wont lose any cash this week, and the rest might do him good, if he comes back fresher he might lift his scoring and do what we all hoped when we started with him.
Roughie is unlikely to hit his BE this week and has looked slow and out of touch. Still, I reckon he has a big score in him sometime and if he gets one his price could spike. He has become a bit of a POD now with so many people trading him out already.
WHE is my biggest concern. Im not sure he has much cash generation left in him, but its probably worth waiting a couple of weeks to see how he goes.

I am in two minds because I could trade out 2 of the above (probably DS and WHE) for say Fisher and McRae/Buddy/or a premium mid.

      What do youse all reckon?

TU :thumbsu: Trade - can get an upgrade to a premium, and Fisher who should make some good $
TD :thumbsd: Hold - no need to rush things. Save the trades.

Keeping TT for this week at least while he still has a pulse, however Roughie went probably get 100+ this week. Still have 26 trades and $250K in the bank next week might be an upgrade week depending if/or any injuries.

@anthak FWIW I would have Balic (who you have) ahead of Fisher ahead of Hardwick from the cheap options, with Black not considered due to being on the bubble next week and Williamson ($177k after 3 games played) not considered as my defence is much stronger than my mids and forwards and therefore I am not considering downgrading Marchbank this week .

Despite dropping/resting a number of youngsters Carlton are the one club I would back to give a kid half a dozen games averaging 50-60 so I may pick Fisher myself despite seeing Balics dpp and Round 13 bye (Fisher's is Round 11) as important. Not a must have in my book but he does have strong junior credentials (ie he slid in the draft due to his size) and not much rookie competition this week to contend with.

As always if in doubt run a poll - vote away peeps (and comment if there are any other rookies I have overlooked)
TU - Balic #1, Fisher #2, Hardwick #3 (add one to the votes below for my vote)
      TD - Fisher #1, Hardwick #2, Balic #3
      Opt 1 - Hardwick #1, Balic #2, Fisher #3
      Opt 2 - Hardwick #1, Fisher #2, Balic #3
      Opt 3 - Fisher #1, Balic #2, Hardwick #3

Ok i have a small problem with swallow out i will be forced to play Taranto at M8 and have no fwd emergency with Pickett out. Should i trade Pickett - Balic giving fwd coverage then move Swallow for Fisher cashing in and put on the bench and play Taranto.

TU- do both of those trades
TD - hold your horses dont react on swallow may be back next week

Seems a few people, including me are deliberating whether to trade out Swallow or keep him. I conscious that the first two weeks he played really well and looked like he could hit 100's (maybe not every week but maybe once or twice a month). So if he is rested and fit, his potential says keep him. But his last two weeks were deplorable and probable suggests that he was not 100%. That means, the real question is, what is wrong with him and how bad is it? Can anyone shed any light?

With a BE well above his average I don't think anything says keep him, even if he's back next week he is highly likely to lose cash, this coupled with injury niggles screams trade to me which I am doing fwiw

I'm a bit late with the advice but he rolled his ankle against Carlton. I'll assume it was the same thing against the Crows but who knows honestly.
He won't make much money for a few weeks and there's injury doubt there. So unfortunately despite his potential I think you'd have to move him on.

Presumably you have a non-player in your mids.
You should go option 1, with fisher as Em. If Fisher does well, swap your non-player on to get his score.
