This week is the last week before the majority of players prices start changing, and that means if you don’t use two trades this week you will miss a lot of opportunities. Whether it is that mid priced player you completely missed in the preseason or a rookie who has exceeded your expectations, this week is your last week to jump on before their prices skyrocket. Because there are so many this week, I have divided this segment up into 4, but they will all be lumped together in future.
· Kyle Cheney, Melbourne, $94,200 (Breakeven -116) The red-haired demon is unlikely to score as well as he did in the first round, but his breakeven means that even an average score will make his price go right up. An option for those who still have Raines or Hurley.
· Sam Gilbert, St Kilda, $302,200 (BE -43) Has been ultra impressive averaging 106 in his 2 games, and with Raph Clarke injured he’s very likely to continue scoring well.
· Shannon Hurn, WCE, $286,200 (BE -35) Like Gilbert, Hurn has performed well, averaging 98 points. Seems to have finally moved into the midfield and his long kicking gives him a lot of points for his possessions.
· Ryan Houlihan, Carlton, $298,900 (BE -27) Has been benefiting form Carlton’s good form and with an average of 97, he’s hard to resist. Also available as a forward.
· Jared Petrenko, Adelaide, $94,200 (BE -69) For those who already have Cheney, Petrenko has looked all class in Adelaide’s 2 games. Watch out though, there’s no guarantee he can keep his spot.
· Jarrad Waite, Carlton, $528,600 (BE 61) Has looked superb running through defence and his average of 118 proves that. A bargain at his price.
