This is really the last week for you to finish your team before prices really kick in, taking players beyond reach. A lot of the players I mentioned in last weeks bargains have not yet maxed out, so for players like Krakouer, Rich, Dangerfield and Gilbert still at achievable prices with lots of upside. Despite this, there are a few more bargains who have only played 2 games to find a place on your bench for.

Dayne Beams, Collingwood, Midfielder, $94,200, Breakeven -84

The Magpie with the tattoos has scored reasonably well, and history tells us that when Mick picks a youngster he gives them a fair go (think Anthony, Clarke, Wellingham and Brown). The Pies need inside midfielders so he should get a good run.

David Zaharakis, Essendon, Midfield, $94,200, BE -97

Another classy midfielder, this one is more a wingman though. The round 2 rising star should hold his place due to Essendons need to blood the kids, but may find his TOG cut by the returns of McVeigh, Welsh, Prismall and maybe even Lonergan and Houli.

Liam Picken, Western Bulldogs, Midfield, $83,400, BE -53

Definitely not my first picked, but seems to have locked his spot in with excellent tagging performances on Brent Harvey and Brett Deledio.

    Darcy Daniher, Essendon,Forward, $138,200, BE -60

Scoring reasonably well from full back, however i doubt hell be in the side when Hurley returns. Frankly, he looked terrible on Fevola on the weekend and only Fevs kicking saved him from an absolute mauling.

Alex Rance, Richmond, Defence, $94,200, BE -80

Performed reasonably well in the last two games for the Tigers, at this stage I think he may be better value than Cheney was last week. Provides some flair and shuts down his opponent, the Tigers would be mad to drop him.

    Knightys top picks:

Unless you have an injury, you should probably be saving your trades for upgrades and cashing in your rookies later on, not to mention more dreaded injuries and suspensions. That said, Beams and Rance both look like good performers who you can rely on to hold a spot in your 22 if you need them too. Remember what I said at the start too-just because theyve already gone up $50,000 doesnt mean you shouldnt get on if you think they still have more value left in them. Its better to be late than never.
