Welcome everyone to the TS Donor Team, round 14 edition. In this weeks' episode of the Donor Team Saga you'll find out that we scored 2173 points, were ranked 20,258 for the round, climbed a few spots to 25,986 in the overall standings, and we won 4 of our five leagues.

As I said, we scored 2173 points in round 14. This is slightly above par for us, but if you take out the three bye weeks its pretty-much bang on par for what we've been scoring this season. We now have 28,895 points for season 2013, which places us at 25,986 in the overall, up 3,034 places on last week.

From a leagues perspective we won two of our three TS leagues, to now see us ranked 10th, 3rd, and 4th, while we won both of our public leagues, placing us 2nd in both leagues.

To completely ruin the seamlessness through which I normally write these blogs, I'll now bounce back to our team overview. So, here's our player breakdown for the week:

    Backmen:
    Heppell 104
    Ibbotson 103
    Lester 91
    Goddard 88
    Hanley 86
    Webster 44
    Midfielders:
    Griffen 148 Captain 296
    Dangerfield 141
    Ablett 115
    Pendlebury 112
    Cptchin 107
    T. Mitchell 99
    J.P. Kennedy 88
    J. Selwood 54
    Ruckmen:
    Nicheolls 84
    Naitanui 73
    Forwards:
    Cox 107
    Franklin 100
    Westhoff 94
    J.J. Kennedy 87
    Rockliff 57
    Zorko 43
    Bench:
    Dixon
    Thurlow
    Vlastuin
    Martin 51
    Rowe
    Currie
    Johnson
    Staker 77

A quick look at our backline allows you to see that we had 6 scoring players and no-one on the bench, so no missed points back there. We had two ton-toppers, a few who got close (-ish), and a rookie who did all we could ask of him. Nothing special but nothing overly disappointing either.

In the midfield we again gave the captaincy to new-recruit Griffen, who didn't let us down. The bloke has played two games for us, has captained the side in both, and has given us nearly 600 points of quality service! Despite what we may say about some other members of our side, this bloke is (at this point) an absolute star!!! Griffen was also our top scorer, just ahead of Danger, and a long way ahead of Permacap! Definitely worth the trade, unlike our round 14 trade of Joel Selwood, who managed to duck his head well below the 100 mark, scoring a paltry 54 points! He did so badly that a rookie on our bench playing in just his 4th ever game nearly beat him!!! Oh well.

The rucks saw us take advantage of some DPP action, moving Big Cox down into the forward line, and allowing us to field both NicNat and Nicholls as the tall timber. Nicholls did all we could ask of him as a rookie, scoring 84 points, while NicNat had the same disease as Duckwood, doing half of what we asked of him, on his way to 73 points.

Onto the forward line, where Big Cox lead the way on 107 points, and was joined in the century club by Buddy, who may have finally decided to play some footy this year??? Westhoff and Kennedy were serviceable, while the Brissie forwards let us down heaps (or should that be the Brissie coach - I'm looking at you Voss) with Rocky scoring 57 and Zorko a pathetic 43 - the lowest score in our side. He was even outdone by his benched teammate in Staker, whose 77 points meant that we missed out on 34 potential points for the week.

As I mentioned, we traded in Duckwood this week, to see him do really poorly, probably only beating the man who we traded out, Brett Goodes, only by the fact that Goodes was injured and didn't play! Hopefully we can do better with the trades this week, and see our team improve for the rest of the season.

Come and join us in the donor forum to keep your Too Serious Donor Team chugging along in season 2013.
