So round 20 was pretty decent for the donor team, we didn't do extremely well, but we didn't choke either, and we missed a fair few of the shortfalls that many others picked up. We scored 2246 points for the week, which placed us at 18,840 for the round, not too shabby. We jumped 1786 places in the overall chase, to now be at 23,491 for the season.
Our team breakdown for the week was just like this:
    Backmen:
    Goddard 122
    Hanley 95
    Heppell 86
    Gibbs 83
    Clisby 73
    Webster 35 (Emergency)
    Midfielders:
    Selwood 160
    Pendlebury 150 Captain 300
    Griffen 114
    Cotchin 103
    Dangerfield 101
    Kennedy 93
    Ablett 67
    Mitchell 60
    Ruckmen:
    Goldstein 109
    Cox 107
    Forwards:
    Rockliff 126
    Roughead 113
    Westhoff 100
    Johnson 96
    Zorko 58
    Kennedy 45
    Bench:
    Ibbotson
    Thurlow
    Vlastuin 68
    Martin
    Rowe 50
    Currie
    Staker 79
    Franklin
Down back we had Goddard put in the star performance that we expect to see from him, yet having watched the match I can't quite figure out how he managed 122 points. No-one else managed to top the ton, and with Ibbotson being a late out we ended up having to field two rookies in Clisby and Webster.
In the midfield we missed the Selwood option as captain, which hurt a little when he scored 160 points, but we were lucky enough to not try Ablett, with his lowly 67 points, instead selecting Pendlebury to lead our side, and we were rewarded with 150 points. Griffen, Cotchin, and Dangerfield also topped the ton, while Kennedy had an off game, only scoring 93 points, and his rookie teammate Mitchell chimed in with a less than average 60 points. Definitely time to upgrade some rookies!
In the rucks we had Goldy and Cox both top the ton, so I guess you can't ask for too much more from your ruckmen!
Up forward we held onto Buddy while he chewed up space and cash on the bench, but that was ok, as Rocky, Roughy, and the Hoff all tonned up. Stevie J just missed out, Zorko continued to prove that he and Rocky can't play in the same forward line under Vossy (maybe things will change now??), while it seemed to be a rather bad week if you're named Josh Kennedy, with only 45 points coming from the Coleman Medal leader!
We had two spuds on the bench down back, so no missed points there. In the mids we had Vlastuin on the pine outscore Mitchell by 8 points, while we also missed out on the extra 10 points that could have come our way with Joel as captain. No missed points in the rucks, while Staker's 79 points up front outdid both Kennedy and Zorko. The total missed points haulage was 52, so we were around half a player short of our potential for the week.
On the leagues side of things we won two of our three TS leagues, and one of our two public leagues.
The win in UCantBeTooSerious sees us progress straight to the losers league preliminary final.
The loss in UCantBe TS sees us in the semis against Red Hypergiants.
The win in TS Donuts sees us progress straight to the preliminary final.
The win in our first public league sees us also progress straight to the preliminary final.
Finally, the loss in the other public league sees us front up in the semi final this week.
As for the team make-up for round 21, there's already been some chatter in the donor forum about our last couple of upgrades. Come and join us over in the forum to help decide who stays, who goes, and who comes into the side.
Once again, good luck to everyone still vying for overall glory, and also to those in the running for their own league premiership - unless ofcourse you're playing me this week, in which case I hope your set of POD's stumble while mine flourish!
