    Howdy All,

Not sure that I have enough time currently to get a tip-top looking page up and going yet with work commitments getting in the way, but here is a placeholder page none the less.

Foul Bay is a small township at the southern tip of the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, Australia. At the 2006 census, Foul Bay had a population of 138.

It is surrounded by beaches and is the gateway to the Innes National Park. The close proximity of the beach and cliffs have popularized Foul Bay as a fishing destination, with Brown Beach in the nearby Innes National Park being particularly famous among recreational fisherman as a picturesque fishing destination.

The home ground of the Foul Bay Chickens is not surprisingly known as the Chicken Coup. The supporters of this prestigious new club are an interesting bunch. Mirroring themselves on the legendary Green Bay Packers supporters at Lambeau Field - "The Cheeseheads", the Foul Bay supporters like to be known as the "Chicken Heads".

    <img src="http://tooserious.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/2oiw0-Mugshot_of_businessman_with_chicken_head_IS098QX4W.jpg" />

While the full team has yet to be drafted, their coach "The Colonel", really wants to emphasise a manic style of football akin to "running around like chickens with their heads cut off". While remaining secretive about what this style entails, The Colonel promises that his game has some secret "herbs and spices" added to it that should keep his opponents guessing.

Presumably a fowling piece is used as a starter's gun.

I used to work for the Colonel when I was a student in high school. Glad to hear he's still keeping busy since selling out to the corporates.

Photo I took when he visited our store in 1976. He always had his ho's with him when he travelled.

    Clearly not a spring chicken.

And don't worry about H's subtle comments. His moral compass takes a beating anywhere outside of Brunswick. Here is an opportunity to express yourself. AND I LIKE IT ! (so far).

My moral compass has arguably taken more beatings in Brunswick than anywhere else.

They're kinda big on hodowns in the Last Superpower. Especially down South. I can see why he wouldn't want to miss it, particularly when your store doesn't stock it.

Hey Chief, when you finally decide to add this to your menu, give me a call please. Might be tempted to drop around for a bite.

You're right (as usual). The gravy in the middle of the mash should be bubbling. Damn Septic Tanks can't photoshop for shite.

    Hi Chief Russell.
I'm looking forward to our trip over to Foul Bay this weekend.

Have you got any suggestions of where we should stay?

And have you got anything special planned for Geek Pride round?

With no suggestions forthcoming, this is the only place we could find at short notice:

It must be said, not a great place to stay. Foul Bay living up to it's name so far.

Nevertheless, we are still looking forward to the game, and even moreso to catching up with the opposition afterwards for a friendly drink or two.

    Sorry Anth.
Been snowed under with reports but spoken to the local madam and she is happy to have your team stay at "The Hen House". Can't post pictures, as it is a bit of an underworld scene (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) but rest assured you will be well looked after at the conclusion of the game.

    No worries mate. Much appreciated.

Last night was a bit rough, but it should toughen us up for the big game. I'm sure the players will be happy to know about The Hen House. We may have to cut the after game drinks short so we can head back there a bit sooner for some well earned ... A'hem , shut eye.

    Thanks again

Is this the place you mean?

ORFFA management went on a 'fact finding' tour there as it happens.

I did write this a few days ago on my own team page:

... We are expecting a hard match against flag favorite Foul Bay, but we're definitely looking forward to the trip - our first interstate adventure of the season. We don't really care if we win this match as long as we have fun. What happens on the interstate trip, stays on the interstate trip :) - although there will hopefully be some pictures taken that we can share ;)
    </blockquote>
So, in other words, we don't want to give too much away, but we'll try to post a pic or two :)

Well we had a fantastic time at the Hen House :D
I'm still not sure if I should be showing any of the photos we took...
While I'm considering that, here's a drawing of two players at their room door. One on their way to the bar is holding the door open for the other, who is on their way from it.

I may post some actual photos later.

In keeping with the theme of our time at the Foul Bay, we are too chicken to post any of the photos we took on our first interstate trip.

We did have an amazing time over in SA, and are heading back to Gariwerd now.

A big thank you to all the Foul Bay residents who made our time avery enjoyable one.

We had a great big party at the Hen House on our last night there and here is one pic that we can show of the boys showing their apreciation towards the Foul Bay coach who had just made a speach, thanking us for coming to play.
