It's a Round 3 rematch leading into finals with some big games ahead shaping the outcome of the final 4.

    Korean Kickers @Chloe (2-5) vs Vancouver Vultures @Athos123 (1-6)
This was a mammoth round 3 match up with the Vultures getting over the line by just the 1 point. Unfortunately things haven't gone either sides way with injuries and form affecting both teams throughout the year to the point where the coveted pick 1 in next years draft could be awarded to one of these coaches come Sunday.

    Kyoto Kruisers @FreoDockers (6-1) vs Darmstadt Dynamos @WillH_VI (6-1)
Top of the table clash which will see the winner of this weeks game move to outright minor premiers, while the loser can't fall lower than second. Round 3 saw a convincing win by the Dynamos by 116 points, that being the Kruisers only loss of the season. The big guns of both sides will be ready to fire starting tonight in a tune up for a possible finals meeting!

    Lagos Royal @Peter W (2-5) vs Majorca Islanders @TheTassieHawk (4-3)
Round 3 saw a huge win by the Royal by 141 points, though it's fair to say it was probably their highlight of the season. The Islanders on the other hand need to win this weekend to give themselves a chance to snap up a finals spot. Win or lose, they will be waiting on the results of one other game to decide the fate of the top four.....

    Which is....
Stuttgart Storm @Jono Steven (4-3) vs Lima Llamas @hoschke118 (3-4)
Lima can do some real damage to the top 4 if they win and the Islanders lose - as it will leave four teams on 4-3, meaning it will be up to the points for to make the difference. Of course, should the Storm rain on the Llamas parade (hehe) then the top 4 will be set and forget. Last time they met the Storm won in a tight contest by 14 points.

Buckle up everybody, the race to shape the top 4 is on (or to the Number One draft pick.....) in what will be 4 gripping contests this weekend!

Note also that once again lockout is 740pm Saturday.

Some drama in the crucial Stuttgart v Lima game as the Storm appear to be unable to field a ruck. Their star ruck Lauren Pearce is out with concussion. The scores are currently Stuttgart 8/410 to Lima 10/692 which means our top 4 is still up in the air.

In the match at Lagos, the Islanders are striving hard to wrest back the Cross Sahara Cup and secure a finals position.

As at the end of the early Sunday match they have edged ahead 11/784 to 11/711 @Peter W

Georgia Garnett is looking to extend the lead to triple figures before the Islanders close proceedings with Ash Brazill versus Jordan Allen and another Ash (Sheridan) for the home side.

Unofficial scores are Lima 837, Stuttgart 715, which would mean a Lima win and both teams ending on 4-4. Prior to this round the Storm had 93 more total points than the Llamas, but this round's unofficial margin of 122 would put Lima in front by 29 total points (6452-6423).

Whatever happens with the unofficial scores, this is a crazy finish to the regular season, particularly with the Storm's bad luck with their rucks.

The final weekend of GWFFPL home and away matches saw the minor premiership and wooden spoon decided and the surging Lima @hoschke118 rebounding from an 0-3 start to edge the slumping Stuttgart @Jono Steven for the final spot in the top 4 after a pulsating 121 point head to head victory.

The Dynamos @WillH_VI secured the 2022B minor premiership with a 134 point demolition of the Kruisers @FreoDockers to earn home advantage throughout the final series. Meanwhile Majorca cast aside the Royals @Peter W to even the 2022B Cross Sahara series at 1-1 and more importantly grab their 5th win for the season which was enough to secure 3rd position.

Vancouver @Athos123 broke a 4 game losing streak to overtake Korea @Chloe and hand the Kickers the wooden spoon in a tense 53 point head to head win, their second against the same opponent this season. In better news for Kickers fans Kiara Bowers managed another 5 point effort to tie with Anne Hatchard from the Islanders for the 2022B League MVP, with both players managing 31 out of a possible 40 votes.

We thank all 8 team coaches for their contributions to this Premier League season, and look forward to seeing everyone back onboard in mid 2023.

Week 1 of finals sees Darmstadt taking on Lima while Koyoto hosts Majorca, good luck to all teams.
