Thanks entirely to @TheTassieHawk , all I did was C&P and my skills in that area have been established as below par Discussion welcome .............................................................................................................................................................. The AFL Brownlow was won by Patrick Dangerfield and it was no surprise that he has swept the Best and Fairest awards in the Too Serious ORFF* fantasy comps (including the TS Addicts League). Out of interest from data provided by Walesy I have compiled a list of players who topped the polling in Defence and Forwards – Given that Max Gawn also swept the Ruck polling across all 5 leagues. ORFFF - Danger, Gawn, Shaw (1), Merrett (1) ORFFL - Danger, Gawn, Docherty, Martin (1) ORFFA - Danger, Gawn, Simpson, Zorko ORFFU - Danger, Gawn, Shaw (2), Martin (2) Addicts - Danger, Gawn, Shaw (3), Merrett (2) I have also used the same data to figure out which players would have made the ALL ORFF* team in each competition. The Consensus All ORFF* team (15 players plus 4 emergencies) is as follows D – Shaw, Docherty, Simpson, Gibson (Enright) M – Danger, Pendles, Hanners, Selwood (Neale) F – Merrett, Martin, Zorko, JJK (Tom J Lynch) R – Gawn IC – JPK, Gibbs (Luke Parker as emergency on count back of total votes ahead of Ablett, Coniglio and Steven) Shaw, Docherty, Danger, Pendles, Gawn and Merrett were the only players to make all 5 teams. Martin was Emergency in the ORFFA while JJK made 3 sides and was emergency for the ORFFF and ORFFL. Gibson and Gibbs were the major surprises for me. When compared to the consensus team these are the changes in each comp OFFFF (4) – Parker, Ablett, Steven and Tom J Lynch in for Hanners, JPK, Gibbs and JJK OFFFL (3) – Rance, Conglio and Montagna in for Simpson, JPK and JJK OFFFA (3) – Laird, Sloane and Tom J Lynch in for Gibson, Selwood and Martin OFFFU (2) – Neale and Tom J Lynch in for Gibbs and Zorko Addicts (3) – Enright, Neale and Wells in for Gibson, Gibbs and Zorko When looking at representation by each club the Drouin Dropbears in the ORFFF were the only side to manage 3 representatives in their competitions All Stars side – Dangerfield, Steven and Docherty.
Great piece of work Len. Shows how far ahead Danger and Big Max were to have them sweep the leagues as they have.
Fine work Len. I do not understand why there are differences across the leagues in the "all star teams." Did some coaches not select top players in their teams some weeks? Or was there difference in the approach of Leagues to playing through the byes? I kept looking at the list and finally realised there was some thing missing: Cows (other than Dan the Man).
@graeme - the post probably needs clarifying as it lacks the supporting data which is Brownlow votes, hopefully @Len can pass this on. As you can see via the TS Leagues pages players poll differently in each comp because a player in a matchup of 15th vs 16th in ORFFF might score 120 SC points and top the scoring but the same player in the same week may be in a matchup of 3rd vs 5th in the ORFFU and be the 4th highest scorer in that game due to having a different mix of team-mates and opponents vying for the votes. In addition the Addicts and ORFFF had a different number of teams and fixture (22 rounds including the byes, and 15 rounds excluding the byes) to the other 3 comps, and in particular the Addicts player format would be a much different proposition than the 15 player game.
Thanks for that @TTH, it makes sense. I should have thought through that the currency in the Brownlows would be Brownlow votes! duh
