Auction rules: 1. All players or picks to be auctioned should be listed with a closing day/time. 2. All players or picks being auctioned cannot be pulled before that day/time. 3. No asset being auctioned should be the subject of private trade negotiations nor used as part of a bid in another auction, until the auction of the asset has reached it's conclusion/closing time, with or without a sale. 4. Stating a reserve, or a preferred return type for the auctioned asset is voluntary. 5. The reserve is not reached on any asset until the seller says so. 6. Once a reserve has been reached the seller has the option to adjust the auction length, but to no less than 48 hours, or the end of the trade period, whichever is the lesser. 7. As soon as practical after receiving multiple bids on an asset the seller should indicate whom is in front, any reasoning is optional. 8. All auctions are final and irreversible unless via subsequent mutually agreed trade. 9. Once a bid is tabled the bid is live until rejected OR deemed beaten by the person conducting the auction, it cannot be materially altered once tabled. 10. No bid can be conditional on outcomes not directly related to the auction at hand.
Well, I may as well start proceedings here. I'll put Charlie Cameron up for auction. So, aged 27 going on 28. Average nearly 74.5, which is his best SC scoring average since 2019 and second-best scoring average since his career started. Regular selection of course, very rarely injured (and if so, plays through it). Part of a good team with a defined role in it. Happy to retain if reserve isn't met, but am also realistic that the impact he could have on a contending team as F3 or F4 would be valuable. In fact, his impact on many teams would be significant. Looking for pick/s. Will consider good offers of MSD picks, PSD picks, or mix thereof. As is the usual with me, I see value in the MSD and am looking to gain higher end picks in this draft. Won't rule out a player in return, but it would need to be one who fits the demography of the Nuffers given where we are at and how we are trying to build the team. Auction will be open until 7pm Sunday June 5 (Melb time).
Quiet old trade period. Let's see if there's interest in an auction or two. I'm relisting Charlie Cameron for auction - for details see above. Am also listing my first round PSD 2023 draft pick for auction because why the hell not and it is something to do. It'll be pick 2 or 3 or something. Or maybe pick 1, who knows. Not looking for players really. Looking for draft picks. Short auction - we'll be done at noon (Melbourne time) tomorrow (Friday)
I'll bite on the 1st rounder MSD #5 and my 2023 PSD 2nd and 3rd round picks likely to be low 20's and low 40's
Well @chris88 , your first rounder in 2023 is an interesting thought. It would give me something else to follow as well as the stalling fortunes of the cows. My offer: the cows first and second round 2023 draft picks. I am at lunch until 2pm Melbourne time, would appreciate you extending the time limit until then to reflect a different time zone.
My apologies guys, I've had no access to internet or my alerts so had not checked until now. So now I am seeking a way forward on this. The deadline was 12 noon. The offer made before end of deadline met reserve (for purposes of transparency). However I am also aware that the deadline has passed and perhaps things have moved on. If this is the case and the reserve was met before the auction deadline ended, are those involved, as well as any other relevant ORFFA officers, OK if this auction proceeds and the transaction goes ahead? Let me know and we can adjust things accordingly.
Sorry Graeme - left out the word 'first' in my original post. Meant to say that the 'first offer made before end of deadline met reserve' - so that was Bandit's offer (if those picks referred to were PSD 2023 ones). If I've misunderstood Bandit's offer - apologies Bandit and feel free to set me straight!
Given there was no response to either offer, and therefore no chance to counter, I think the only fair thing to do would be to scrap the auction Chris, and if you want to do a trade offline with anyone (which can still be done) then you instigate conversations.
Thanks Bandit for the clarity and clarification on this. Again, apologise for yesterday and the issues it has caused. I guess it means anyone wishing to discuss a trade has a baseline from which to look at things. Guess my perspectives on drafts and trading are different from the normal - combine that with where the Nuffers are at and I have to look at some alternative ways of going about things. But yeah, if anyone is interested in a chat, feel free. I'll be outside chopping down trees.
