While I am looking forward to the Choirboys' set, two of the Cows' finest have staged a quiet protest via the physio room. No need to even contemplate tanking this week, that decision has been taken away from team management. Those among you who have a keen eye for detail will have noted that there are now as many Cows on the injured list (13) as there are available for selection; the other two "players" remain rookie listed. It is almost a case of you turn up, you get a game. Maybe I should not travel with the team? Out - J McVeigh (groin strain - really?), A Hall (hammy - you cannot be serious); In - nil D - J McGovern, H Taylor M - D Hannebery, T Mitchell, B Crouch, N Graham R - S Jacobs F - D Menzel, B Griffiths, C Sinclair, T Papley* I - M Robinson, J Dunkley*
Rolling the dice with a few selections this week, just for a bit of fun. Feeling blessed I have 20 people to choose from to be honest - not that it'll make a lick of difference against Mt Beauty! Music provided at The Paddock this week by our friends The Avalanches. I'll have what they're having. Support act will be Darraweit Guim's own Stonefield, who'll be playing songs off their new album As Above, So Below.
Spelunkers have gone from rags to riches, 13 man line up last week, to a full 15 with 4 emergencies named. Warm up set to be provided by the Chemical Brothers, with Fat Boy Slim doing the after party DEF: Shane Savage, Luke Brown, Phil Davis, Shaun ATLEY (Sam Butler) MID: Marcus Bontempelli, Kieren Jack, Stephen Hill, Andrew Swallow (Ben Keays) RUCK : Mark Blicavs FWD: Zac Merrett, Jack GUNSTON, Mark LeCras (Mitch McGovern) INT: Ryan BASTINAC, Blake Acres (Oscar McDonald)

"Rachel Platten will be pre game entertainment..." Mmmm, great choice Tracey. I hope no one misinterprets this
Copping an absolute pasting at Gundagai. The Cows yet to play each need to average something like 212 to salvage a draw. Still the company and the music is great, and the first part of the 'hoppers' name is plentiful and excellent and it all seems just like a dream.
Josh Bruce 23.......... Spent two first round draft picks on this guy, feels like he might be a Cloke devotee
Mt Beauty and Darraweit going toe to toe in a good old fashioned slug fest. Clearly the Avalanches set fired up the teams. Both teams 850+ from 9 players played. Lots of Essendon and Richmond players left to come. Though Mt Beauty clearly have the edge in quality with Martin, Cotchin, Ellis, Rioli and the like vs the rather more unfashionable Gleeson, McDonald-Tipungwuti, Young, Rance and the like. That said, this all bodes well for the rebuild with the young guys continuing to play well for the Guim.
'hoppers score 1326 - well done sNoZ. Ben Griffiths needs to score 366 for the Cows to snatch victory - yep we got beat good and proper. More realistic interest is Ben needs to score 39 for the 13 Cows to post a 1000; that possibly is realistic.
I'm unsure but Rance and Coniglio (and Young) might've done the impossible. But lets wait. Either way, both teams have scored 1300+ I think. That pre match entertainment got the teams jumping.
