    Mount Beauty v Marble Bar
Marble Bar coach Len will be doing his best this afternoon to put Bama's final's chances on ice when he pays a visit to Mount Beauty. The Misfits will keen to move on from last week's loss to the Grasshoppers, with several players 2014 careers being under scrutiny. The key match up in this game is Nicholls vs Leuenberger, as whoever gets first hands on the pill will use it well. The midfields from both sides scream potential with Steven, Ward, Sewell and Greene coming up against Cotchin, Sidebottom, Bennell and Wingard. Enright and Stanley will have their hands full with Martin and Rioli, while at the other end Jeremy Cameron will be hoping to give young Guthrie a football lesson.
Prediction : Mount Beauty by 110pts
Match up to watch : Nicholls vs Leuenberger

    Iron Knob v Charlies Opening
Match of the round with the top of the ladder Codpieces taking on the Spelunkers at Iron Knob. Loads of questions to answer at this match. How will Bandit cover the loss of Swallow? Will Ben Reid make the trip? Will GAJ bother getting out of bed? Will big Minson try and find Charlie's Opening, and if he does what will he do with it? Bandit is fired up for this one, but without Swallow in the guts he may struggle. On paper it appears Charlie's Opening have the edge in defence and up forward, but the tag team of Minson and Goldstein promises to make Giles' afternoon a long one.
Prediction : Iron Knob by 40pts
Match up to watch : Petrie v Henderson, Jack V Ablett

    Waikikamoocow v Wagga Wagga
Another home game for the silverside suckers, but a difficult match up against the Wombats. Lenny has the Wagga boys up and about, and this game looms as a genuine concern for Chels. Goose Maguire may have played his last game for the Cows, with Russell likely to take his place. The Waikicks have arguably the best midfield in the comp on paper with Fyfe, McVeigh, Hannebery and Mitchell, but Lenny will do his best to counter that with the likes of Shiel, Beams and Bastinac.
Prediction : Wagga by 16 pts in a minor upset
Match up to watch : Both ruckmen (Cox and Jacobs) are out of form so the game may very well be won and lost in the guts.

    Nunawading v Cradle Mountain
Interesting matchup this week given both teams are without a playing ruckmen at the moment. The Devils look the better team on recent form, but the Nuffer's cheerleaders have been doing their damned best to get the team ready for the game. Will Charlie Dixon come back from the dead two weeks in a row? Coach Andy has some selection headaches on Whitehorse road with both Mohr and Petterd under injury clouds, whilst Gwilt will have a fitness test on his knee to determine if he can get up for the Devils.
Prediciton : Devils comfortable winners by 200 pts
Match up to watch : Pendlebury on JP Kennedy has the purists salivating

    Larrikin Lagoon v Gundagai
It was hoped after the Scot Selwood controversy against Gariwerd that this week would be free of scandal, however Ahmed Saad was so confident about the lack of testing facilities at the Lagoon that he took a banned substance last week and is now in the deep end. The match up for the Aish cup will be interesting, with the Lefties tailing off and the ‘hoppers starting to fire up… a bit late in the season but better late than never. sNoZ will need Lenny Hayes to get off the stretcher and get out on to the park one more time for the team, whilst Daniher will need to impress on the training track this weekend to get a run.
Prediction: Gundagai to claim another end of season scalp and get home by 64
Match up to watch : Ryan O'Keefe vs the shutdown tactics of scooter Selwood

    Gariwerd v Foul Bay
Big match for both here.. Foul Bay looking to consolidate the top 2 spot and Gariwerd doing everything in their power to squeeze into the 8. Foul Bay ride a roller coaster with Ibbotson and Broughton in the back line, and with Juddy getting the missus up the duff this week his energy may have been spent prematurely. The Cockies will seek to capitalise on this with new captain Koby Stevens running riot in the middle and Kurt Tippett putting the Waikikamoocow scuttlebutt behind him.
Prediction: Foul Bay to turn the lights out on the Cockies season by 87 pts
Match up to watch : Gibson on Roughead

    Birdsville v Venus Bay
Another game with a massive influence on the structure of the 8… if Birdsville win they just about lock in Top 4 and put Venus Bay out to pasture for the year. If the Vultures get up then everything is up for grabs in the last round. Venus Bay coach Fitzy will be hoping Kreuzer continues his stellar run of form against McEvoy, whilst JC will be using all of his miraculous healing powers to try and get Moloney up for the game. Zac Dawson will be there to stud the boots pregame as well.
Prediction : Birdsville to hit the lead early but choke in the final quarter … Vultures by 55
Match up to watch : Kreuzer on McEvoy

    Whitsundays v Lovely Banks
It will be tropical shirts and string bikinis all round this weekend as the game takes a distinctly tropical feel up north. Frangipani blossoms in the hair of the visitors and fake tan on the home side will complete the mood as the Warriors attempt to get the edge over the Lilacs. Midfields for both sides are very strong so it will come down to the goal scoring power of both sides to determine the outcome.
Prediction : Warriors to get home by 113 with complimentary lei's for every travelling supporter.
Match up to watch : Will be interesting to see if Chelsea has got over the jet lag sufficiently enough to provide a hula dance for the visitors at the Tiki Bar

    Darraweit Guim v Powlett Plains
There will be a lot of nail biting in the coaches box given the importance of this game. A win sees the victor assured of finals footy, whilst a loss puts the team right back in the back fighting it out for 7th and 8th . Coach Chris will be hoping the Cannon can cover for the absence of Frawley, whilst PRap will be wondering if Luke Ball can get over himself and bother fronting up for the game. Forward line concerns for the Packers too with Riewoldt unable to make the trip.
Prediction : Darraweit to get home by 138
Match up to watch : Rance on Franklin
