This week's round sees the same matchups as Round 6, 2016
    http://tooserious.net/forum/tsLeagues.php?leagueId=14&round=6&year=2016
    http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-6.89431/

Port Lincoln Power (1-3) vs Neptune Island Noahs (4-0) – Despite coach @That KI Guy preferring an oop Haynes to Preuss in the ruck, the Noah’s should be able to equal their own 10 match unbeaten streak achieved in the opening 10 rounds of 2016.

Mt Thirsty Boozers (3-1) vs Heard Island Shags (2-2) – both teams will be looking to rebound after Round 4 losses

Nangkita Bucks (3-1) vs Drouin Dropbears (2-2) - @stowie will be looking to spoil the party as the Bucks play their first ever ORFFF match in their new home town, after their special request for a one-off home game in New Caledonia was denied by the Commish !

Black Swamp 29ers (1-3) vs Rutherglen Fugitives (3-1) – the 2 teams will play off for the Cotchin-Degoey Shield reflecting the offseason trade between the 2 teams. The 29ers have lost 6 of their last 7 and are no chance of troubling a side I rate as the equal favourites for this year’s comp.

Jan Juc Ducks (2-2) vs Cockburn Avengers (2-2) - the Ducks will need to play well to defeat an inconsistent but always dangerous Avengers side, who posted 1500 plus the last time the 2 sides met.

Mole Creek Glow-Worms (0-4) vs Useless Loop Virgins (3-1) – the form guide says ULV easily.

Maralinga Atoms (1-3) vs Walpole Woylies (2-2) – the Woylies look to be a reasonable chance of trebling last year's 1 win season a third of the way through this season's fixture.

Wedge Island White Pointers (1-3) vs Macquarie Island Whales (2-2) – rumour is the Sea Shephard will be escorting MacQuarie Island to and from this weeks game, which of the 2 big fish will take the 4 points ?

Good luck also to Neptune Island, Rutherglen, Drouin and Jan Juc as they strive to make the final 8 in the ORFF* Knockout comp.

The Whales need to beware - we are hosting a team of Japanese scientist who were excited when they heard who our opponents are this week - lots of lip smacking and exuberant discussion was overheard from their dorm last night ;)

    Thanks for the warning.

As far as the whales are concerned we consider Japanese scientists to be an oxymoron. We have however been in touch with the international whaling commission and Greenpeace who have both indicated they will be sending out observers to the weekends game to ensure everything is above board.

We are also bringing along one of the best up and and coming chefs who is planning on introducing your Japanese visitors to the delicacy that is shark meat. We expect that once they taste the soft and tender meat they can get from a shark, whales will be free from scientific research pursuits for many years. The other advantage our honorary number 1 ticket holder Mick Fanning will be advocating is that nobody cares about a few less sharks in the ocean. In fact you are a hero for punching one in the nose.

Hats off to your marketing team for increasing the gate for the game. May the best team win.
