    Welcome to the Round 6 fixture.

    Bathurst Belles vs Sandgate Sugar Gliders
    @Len @Tiny_doughnut
    With these teams at 8th vx 9th, boasting the same record and having shown they are capable of playing to a draw, expecting an armwrestle that shall be the subject of this week's poll.

    Katanning Krushers vs Timboon Trailblazers
    @FreoDockers @Peter W
    The Krushers appear to be unbeatable, but then again so did Fremantle. All eyes on Timboon to produce the upset of the season.

    Legana Legends vs Georgia Geeniuses
    @Pearcey47 @marconofrio
    Almost a spoonbowl, the Geeniuses should have a good chance for their first win of the season here, particularly if Kearney continues her excellent form from last week.

    Manildra Mystix vs Glenbrook Galahs
    @TheTassieHawk @ver_redit_optatum
    Currently 5th & 4th on the ladder, the winner will probably be firmly in the top 4 while the loser struggles to claw their way back. Expect coaches keenly following and score updates throughout the weekend (but only from TTH if I go camping).

    Pomona Nymphs vs Vivonne Bay Valkeries
    @anthak @That KI Guy
    A game to boost Pom's chances as Viv would have to produce their top score of the year and Pomona their worst in order to flip this one.

    Scone Sirens vs Lake St Clair Devils
    @Tracey @dmandrews
    Another game that could really shake up the top of the ladder. The Sirens are probably the weaker team on paper and a loss by them will likely leave space for two of the chasing pack to emerge.

    [From the TTH]
    Please note that the Friday night match for Round 6 is a 510pm start so be sure to re-set your team at least an hour prior to the naming of Saturday teams which is usually about 540pm on Friday night!

    The Mystix selection committee have made 2 changes for the 2021 ORFFW Round 6 team to play the Galahs @ver_redit_optatum

    Our opposition is heading 240km west to Flour Girls Park via Bathurst and we are keen as mustard to even the ledger at 1 apiece as we play our second head to head matchup.

    Note this team is subject to change, once Saturday and Sunday AFLW line-ups are announced

    Def = Cuthbertson, J Allen, C Randall (M Brown)
    Mid = Drennan, Dillon, A McDonald, Prespakis (M King)
    Fwd = Hore, E Antonio, Ashmore (Georgostathis)
    Ruck = Seymour, (McKinnon)
    IC = Gavalas, Elise O'Dea, (Metcalfe)

    2nds - Zreika, Parry, Molan, M McKinnon

    Returning - Prespakis
    New - J Allen (2021 MSD)
    Out - M King, Parry (rubbish last week, even as an oop ruck)

    In the match at Manildra the home side are 7/506 leading the visitors @ver_redit_optatum 7/312.

    It is 3 players apiece in the early Sunday game with Prespakis, Elise Odea and Amy McDonald for the Mystix mixing it with Jess Hosking, Laloifi and O'Connor for the Galahs. The penultimate match of the round then sees Glenbrook holding the numerical advantage 2:1 with big guns Bonnici and Blackburn running out against Jordan Allen for Manildra.

    Should the Galahs be in front heading into the last game then the Mystix finals hopes will depend on the duo of Cuthbertson and Ebony Antonio trying to run down the lead despite the best endeavours of Tiah Haynes for their opponents.

    Scone Sirens 329/6 Ave of 54.8
    hosting
    Lake St Clair 477/8 Ave of 59.6

    Devils have a narrow advantage, the output of exciting Sirens forwards Vescio and Duffy today could be critical to the outcome.

    The Mystix have stretched the lead beyond 300 as they reach 10/755 to 10/416 for the Galahs @ver_redit_optatum and will look to run out the game strongly to assist with the points scored tiebreaker in what is shaping as a typically tight conclusion to the home and away series this week and next.

    In a contest that has significant top four implications the Lake St Clair Devils and Scone Sirens have played an absolute thriller. The unofficial score is Lake St Clair Devils 736 defeated Scone Sirens 730. If this is correct the performance of two opposition players who are housemates outside of the ORFFW season has served as a virtual tie-breaker with Devils defender Meghan McDonald outscoring Sirens forward Darcy Vescio by 7 points, 62 to 55.

    Both sides had multiple emergencies that if selected in the 13 player team would have improved their club’s score, most notably Grace Egan who scored 80 points for the Sirens in the seconds. Devils emergency Najwa Allen made her debut in the midfield and scored 36 points after Lake St Clair’s first ever draft choice Monique Conti was a late withdrawal.

    The Round 6 winners were the Devils @dmandrews by 6, Nymphs @anthak by 92, GEEniuses @marconofrio with their first W of the season by 93, the Krushers @FreoDockers win their 6th straight by 128, the Gliders @Tiny_doughnut win their 2nd straight by 177 and the Mystix won by 273.

    The Krushers and Devils lock in their 2021 finals spots ahead of a matchup next week with the Mystix and Nymphs in charge of their own destiny in the final week and the Sirens @Tracey, Galahs @ver_redit_optatum and Blazers @Peter W sitting in 5th-7th and poised to capitalise on any last round slipups as next weeks action once again commences on a Friday night.
