Anyone else notice that now we are spoiled with team entry, we have far less teams talking up their chances like we used to have when you entered your teams in the thread? Coupled with some close and exciting clashes in R1 worthy of some mud-slinging, here is a spot where you can have your say. /Portals/0/User%20Images/strutting%20chicken.jpg /Portals/0/User%20Images/Harold-Holt.jpg /Portals/0/User%20Images/Iron-Knob.jpg
The Harry Holt round - a chance to say farewell to (our southern hemisphere) summer though hoping it will stick around longer. We hope summer will not be like the Right Honourable H Holt who went for an early morning dip and never returned. The body was never found and then talk of a Russian submarines and strange goings on - rather like ORFFA in its first full year of operation. The concept of naming a Memorial Swimming Centre in Malvern after a man who drowned still tickles my humour gland. Good luck in the HH round, perhaps some of the Battlers could take an early morning dip off a barren beach east of Waipukarau?

It's where my boy did swimming lessons.

It's where my boy did swimming lessons. I did not grow up in Melbs and never attended one, but I've heard they used to have teenage pool parties (and may still do) at HH pool. I've heard they were very lenient and the parties were basically massive underage piss-ups. Tempting fate, naming the pool after someone who drowned and then allowing drunk kids to swim there lol Remember this JC, if your boy ever asks to go to a pool party there
Rd 1 sNoZ bantered 'you can all get stuffed' Rd 2 DITTO (I'm starting to think the coach of the Hoppers sucks)
Mmmmm, must apply myself to figuring out a round name based around 'you can all get stuffed' and 'sNoZ sucks.'

Len wrote: This should be the beginning of awesome for Plowman Terry, expecting big things. Wish I shared your faith. Haven't seen him play much but expected it would take him a few years to adjust to AFL level, just like KPP Butcher. Mind you, Whitfield didn't muck around and, I suspect, neither will Kelly.

I watched Plowman play last round, the reserves played a practice match, he looked good and was clearly ready, hopefully he nails it for you though I suspect he and Kelly are the vest candidates..
Lefties showing their true colours... 451/8 Hope the Packers don't smell that chum in the water at the Lagoon
403/4 for the Blimps, with Josh Gibson earning his keep after being selected by default. Hopefully his good form continues.

Your man won there, Kelly in the vest, so of the less than full team playing already 2 sub victims, Kelly was expected, Ryder wasn't..
Kudo's to Len, he's been on the Hickey train since he was Thomas the Tank Engine. I went with Lobbe/Sandi so no complaints, but fair play to Hick, didn't think he had it in him.
Waikiks at home to the Battlers this week. As of Saturday evening 902/10. I see Ebert and Murph ]scored very well, how are travelling overall JC? My team starting to look a little thin with Brad Crouch, Knights, Burbury and Gardiner on the injury list. Ideal time to play the Misfits, Codpieces and Foul Bay - not. Thank you very much to the FIXtures Committee.
