Cradle Mountain Devils Round 4 team In: J Lever, J Gresham Out: N Vlastuin (managed), S Johnson (knee) Def: M Hurley, L Spurr, Z Jones, J Lever (S Gilbert) Mid: S Pendlebury, D Zorko, D Heppell, S Grigg (J Redden) Ruc: T Nankervis Fwd: T Lynch, J Steele, T Membrey J Hopper (T Boyd) Inter: D Zaharakis, J Gresham (L Shiels) After copping an elbow to the head late in the third qtr on the weekend and spending the rest of the game on the bench Vlastuin was going to undertake a concussion test tomorrow however the Devils have decided to be cautious and not play him at any level this week. Jake Lever replaces Vlastuin and will play his first ORFFA game for the season. Stevie J will miss Round 4 with a knee injury allowing him to focus entirely on his role as the forward line assistant coach. After being named in the round 1 side and being a late withdrawal Jade Gresham gets to play his first ORFFA game of 2017 in Round 4, becoming the fourth Devil to play in the interchange 2 position this season. Tom Lynch gets to play on the Lefties home ground that he knows so well and is likely to be picked up by his 2016 Lefties premiership team-mate Nick Haynes. Whilst the Lefties team hasn't been finalised it is likely that the Devils are going to have only one less 2016 Lefties premiership players in their team as the Lefties do - with Haynes joined by fellow 2016 LLL defender Thomas Bugg who is likely to be named on the interchange.
A tasting of the Hawkes Bay 2015 Merlots started a couple of hours ago and due to the generosity of many of our sponsors it looks like getting out of hand. Thank good ness there are some hot corned silverside sarnies at hand. For those of you who like a good Merlot, the results to date are Quite Interesting (thanks Stephen). Highest rated by quite a margin is one of the cheapest - Mission Estate VS Merlot 2015. With an honourable mention to the Thornbury 2015 Merlot (might not be available outside of NZ as is an experimental wine). A few wine stains on the team card but it appears that for Thursday evening: D - J McGovern, N Newman (E - T Barrass) M - R - F - (E - T Papley) I/C - E&OE

Too true dean. We have been tempted to haul in 5 truck loads of pig dung to elevate the subsided pockets and negate Tom's ex-home ground advantage, but alas we would probably need to actually bury half of the Devils squad to have a sniff. Larrikin Lagoon Mobile Bye Device Def - Haynes, Baguley, Berry, Perryman Mid - Langford, Langford, Ross, Phillips Ruck - Simpkin oop Fwd - Broomy, Weller, Clarke, Taberner I/C - Knight, Bugg With 3 of these guys listed as emergencies, its still a tall order to expect a playing squad of 15. Seem to recall we made some rules on this some time back. Does the opponent get a walkover or does the team entered for the previous round stand? And, with a rolling lockout, could the team be entered late with scores not counting for games already played?
Different circumstance and was pre this host when the teams didn't roll. Wagga has entered an adjusted team from last week, just an incomplete one, team stands as listed. Unfortunate
