Just curious how my fellow ORFFA coaches did this year in SC/DT/ETC........plus I've set up an SC Finals League....(can you tell I'm bored) sNoZ ~ Sadly fell to a final ranking of 4001 in SC after peaking at about 1100 a few weeks back. Shot my load I guess and tumbled 3000 spots over the last few weeks alas. Only made one granny and lost to H in the Group W Grand Final with two donuts. In DT, which I'd never done before but dragged into by TiB, finished in 12,400th place......with my main goal allyear just trying to use all 40 trades but fell 3 short. SC FINALS COMP.......as per the main blog, I've set up a private league for the finals for ORFFA participants. (# 345632)
I've never done a finals comp but figured it would pass the time over the next few weeks as I watch the Pies storm home from 6th place.

40k each in both, I lost interest in DT and just kept pulling the wrong reign in SC after starting very well... Good news was, I won my SC draft league :p
Have also got a team in the finals comp & joined the league..

Finished SC around 2700. Was top 100 for a little while, but then I got a couple of injuries and tried to trade for advantage. Fair to say it backfired spectacularly. Next thing I knew I was back to nearly 5000 and the repair job started from there. Made GFs in two cash leagues but went down in both, one close and one a belting, and lost to H in the Group W prelim.
Finished about 13k in DT. I did ok over in the Centrebet comp though, once I got my head around the scoring system. Finished just outside the top 50 after being nearly last after r3. Got paid a couple of times for having a top 20 score in a couple of rounds. And I managed to fall over the line in the draft league GF over there, so I should get some $$ for that.
Not match for bfish though, that's for sure. :)

Watched from the sidelines as Snoz performed in SC and DT. Expected him to go huge in the finals and he went in the opposite direction. Might be a conflicting week of finals for the Carringbush, given their coach is Port Adelaide born and bred. Set myself a target of trying to achieve 2300+ scores on a regular basis in SC. Managed to do it more regularly in DT, but put this down to the excess trades. Fired up well post mid-season and then fell away (or rather, everyone else caught up in squad building). Going to have to rethink my timing and have already applied superglue to the trade button on my keyboard. However, given they were tipped for the spoon, the Warriors apparently over-achieved and I can't wait for next year when my LTI's drift back into the fray. I guess the coaches who have Wingard, Jaeger and Mitchell can't wait either.

    Only play SC.
Finished 18,566 with a 2147 ave. Pretty disappointing. Took me too long to get onto PA, Freo & Crows players. I just didn't believe they would maintain it. Then when I did the bastards got injured. Once again the SC gods violated me. Isn't it strange how one considers one so clever when you get it right and blame everything else (injuries, weather, umpires, wives, Jasmine, Walesy, TiB, H, ya mamma, etc) when you don't.
At least the Blues made the finals. I'm not going because I've been to 4 matches this season and we've lost them all. I'm even considering not watching it live so I don't put the moxy on us.

After top 5000 finish last year I aimed for top 2000 this year. 24260. DOH! TBH I did have a terrible run with injury. First year of DT - 14363. Herald Sun Tipping - 33598.

I used to be like that with the Saints Andy, didn't do them much good, pretty sure my refusal to attend or watch didn't help them much...

In Supercoach for 2013 I finished 9,375th and in Dreamteam finished about 6,000th. Both teams achieved their best ranking between rounds 7 and 10. I have had better seasons in both SC and DT however 2013 was the first season that I finished inside the top 10,000 for both competitions in the same season.

Being in the ORFFA has increased my knowledge of the players selected in the National Draft and Rookie Draft allowing me to improve my Rookie selections in SC and DT.

SC: Was 394th with 3 rounds to go, then 632nd going into last round, before dropping 378 places to finish 1010. Disappointing finish but decent overall.
