The Podfather is back. Apologies for missing last week; was a late withdrawal due to a busy schedule. But now we're back and ready to bring you some more left-field options that can potentially, save your season.

In the first edition, I looked at 7 players. In the two matches following the article, all of these players scored 100+ in at least one of their appearances. Unfortunately, we did see a little inconsistency with their other scores. This, however, is something we will come across with all our premiums (one G.Ablett got 75SC recently). You just need to back yourself and consider whether players featured here are right for your team.

There are some solid options this week, with the midfield providing some well-known PODs, and a particular left-field option that could become a handy M8/M9. There's a blue and white flavour to this week's edition and doesn't it look appealing? Let's jump in!

    Josh P. Kennedy (Syd) - Mid - $657,600 - 122.8 - 6.57%
You'll have to fork out top dollar for old mate JPK, but at this stage, you'll pay anything for guaranteed points. 2012 was a top year for Kennedy, however he has gone to a new level this season, absolutely racking up the SC points. His lowest score is 91 (only score below 100) and has topped 130 on four occasions. The best part about him is that no one can stop him. The best example is Hawthorn sending Langford to him in Rd8 for a return of 153SC. He's the number 1 midfielder at the club and should continue to dominate. In fine form, JPK will continue to average 120+. Ablett's only opponent for the Brownlow.

    Nick Dal Santo (NM) - Mid - $575,500 - 113.8 - 5.48%
The most appealing thing about North Melbourne is that they have a pretty soft draw for the rest of the season. This should equate to more SC points for their better players. NDS certainly fits into this category, enjoying an excellent season floating around the NM midfield and back line. He continues to rack up possessions and points at will. He has cracked the 100 in seven of his ten matches with only one score below 90. More importantly, when he has scored more than 100, his average is 124.7SC suggesting when he goes big, he goes big. Should finish a top 15 midfielder and is a good option to bring in.

    Michael Johnson (Frem) - Def - $495,400 - 98.00 - 4.54%
Enjoying his most consistent season nearing the age of 30, Johnson has finally become a relevant trade-in target in 2014. The defenders are notoriously up and down in SuperCoach so the consistent 90-110's that Johnson provides are welcomed with open arms. His price is a little high at the moment, but he appears to be a top 10 defender. Fremantle have a good draw coming up and he has only missed one game in the last four seasons. Lyon won't be resting one of his consistently strong performers. Expect an average of about 95-100 for the rest of the year.

    Richard Douglas (Adel) - Mid - $508,600 - 99.29 - 0.21%
Here's a really interesting one. Douglas enjoyed a breakout season in 2013 averaging 102SC. This season, he is averaging a tad under 100 but I feel he hasn't quite imposed himself on games the way he can. With Tex Walker fit and firing, the entire Adelaide team will lift. Dangerfield and Sloane will certainly score well and this guy will fly under the radar. A very good, goal scoring midfielder, his back half of the year could boost Adelaide into finals contention. I know many on TS won't like this selection, but will be a handy pick. 105+.

    Luke Dahlhaus (WB) - Fwd - $490,400 - 98.56 - 7.04%
Dahlhaus was all the rage a few weeks ago but an average month has him flying under the radar at the moment. The issue is his disposal efficiency which, along with his clangers, are hurting his scores. He has scored 71 in two of his past three matches, which isn't something we want to see. One thing that was obvious in those matches was that his run and spread dropped off. He combined for 3 marks in those matches, which hurt him. In fact, in the matches he has scored well in (93+), he has averaged around 5 marks a game. Let's hope he gets back to those sorts of numbers. Hoping he bounces back. Should push back to the 100 average mark.

    Justin Westhoff (PTA) - Fwd - $390,600 - 83.80 - 3.79%
This week's special, the Hoff has been down this season. Just 3 scores above the 100 and 2 below 45 isn't great reading for the SC nut. Looking at Port's last 12 games, they play five games against current top 8 teams (Sydney twice), which points towards a nice run home for the ladder leaders. Of course, we all recall the first 4 rounds of 2013 where Hoff averaged 140.5SC. He has the potential to go big. Looking at his scores, he loves playing the lesser teams and has the ability to rise for the big occasions (has a solid record vs Sydney and Adelaide). While he has been less than impressive thus far, with many of us closing in on full teams, Westhoff could be that point of difference you need for your F6 that could get you where you need to go this season. His ability to drop behind the ball and take intercept marks, and being the 2nd KPF for Port will work wonders in this back half of the season. Will go close to a 100 average.

    Scott D. Thompson (NM) - Def -$415,000 - 84.89 - 2.91%
I started with Thompson in my team and while it's been a rollercoaster ride, I knew if he could get through this opening period with a solid average, he'd be worth having. Now, at $529k, I'm not thrilled with this average. But he has shown in the past that he can produce premium output and his price is very hard to ignore. An interesting point is that, when Joel Tippett was in the team, he averaged 65.7SC. Obviously, Tippett was injured in Rd10 and Thompson was able to respond in rd11 with a nice 112. He loves being the main man in the backline and his average of 18.6 disposals and 6 marks a game has him right up there as the most attacking full back in the league. North Melbourne has a relatively easy run coming up and Thompson will enjoy having to be accountable in some matches and less accountable in others. Has massive scores under his belt against some of his upcoming opponents. If money is an issue, Thompson is value.

That's it for this week. If you have any other options to consider for this round or want to discuss the options listed above, feel free to do so in the comments section below. There are some risky picks here and I'm not expecting everyone to like them!
Already have an eye on a couple of players to put in next week's article so it'll be interesting to see how they go this weekend!
