Foul Bay is once again annoucing their team early this week so that all players are given the maximum time to prepare mentally for their role in the upcoming finals assault. While their form this season hasn't generally been what the coach has been after, we are hoping that the excitement and opportunity of competing for another premiership will bring out the best in the side. Luke Dahlhaus has been banging down the door in recent weeks (avg. of 98 in his last 6 games) and deserves his opportunity in the senior team, while we are taking a punt on Brock McLean to step up in the absence of Chris Judd. Matthew Stokes could be considered to be a tad unlucky, but his form has dropped away a bit in recent weeks. He has been left out due to 'team balance'. Ryan Harwood is on standby with Garrick Ibbotson being given every possible opportunity to prove his fitness. But, in saying that, I did not finish top 4 and did not put any time at all into choosing preferences, whereas I'm sure the top 4 put some more thought into it than I have. Was an interesting process though.
I think he may be a little concerned if I could have got one more forward up, and if some of my players weren't underdone. As it stands it would be a major upset I believe.

Was an interesting process though. Have to agree Ant - I thought I'd be first or second up as well. Team played well after the MSD but injuries and absences have hit 4-5 players and I haven't been able to cover them given I traded away a few players at mid-year. That was part of the design, but still! Think Bandit has the edge this week if his guys perform to expectations. I'll need some very good efforts from unlikely places to get home. But whichever way it goes, it'll be good experience for the youngsters in the team.
