Marble Bar records its first win for the year over an injury-hit Nunawading team. A solid defensive effort by Marble Bar is rounded out by a starring performance from Jezza Cameron up forward. Meanwhile Ryan Lester played his best ever game for the Nuffers, gaining 5 votes in the Les W, while JPK, O'Meara and Mohr also scored well.
Lovely Banks 1015 d Gundagai 908
The lads from Lovely Banks notch up their first ever win in ORFFA play with a 107-point victory over a gallant Gundagai, who were 4 players short and still almost got over the line. Lovely Banks, unexpectedly hit by injury also this week, were led by Swan (5 Les W votes), Thompson and the mighty Canadian Myke Pike. For Gundagai, Jono Griffin again led the way, with support from ROK and Rockliff. Hardingham's effort might see him receive more playing time in the future.
Powlett Plains 1383 d Cradle Mountain 1321
The Packers bright start to the year continues, with a great win over the Devils. Old stagers Hodge and Nick Reiwoldt led 8 players in triple figures for the Packers, while Pendles' 161 was enough for 5 Les W votes, but not enough to lead the Devils over the line. Dale Thomas' 150 bodes well for future scoring for Cradle Mountain.
Charlie's Opening 1409 d Whitsundays 1031
The Spelunkers enjoyed a massive win over the Warriors, with 7 100+ scores led by Andrew Swallow in the middle. Petrie's return to form will also delight the Spelunkers' fans. For the Warriors, a number of players with down weeks - only Boak and Warnock reaching the ton.
Iron Knob 1482 d Gariwerd 1278
Iron Knob again went 'whack' with its scoring stick to comfortably defeat a game Gariwerd team by 204 points. Shuey, Harbrow and Ablett led the Codpieces with 130+. Christensen's 177 earned him 5 Les W votes in a stellar performance for the Cockies, while improved depth and performances from 'lesser lights' would be heartening for Cockies' fans. Masten and Hurn also notched 100+ for Gariwerd.
Birdsville 1275 d Mt Beauty 948
Centuries from all four midfielders highlighted Birdsville's comfortable win over the Uglies; Murphy, Ebert, Wells and Treloar all notching tons, while Cloke continued his sparkling form. The Uglies copped some down performances from stars Cotchin and Sidebottom, and lost Waters to injury before the game. Dustin Martin top scored with 125.
Waikikamoocow 1276 d Larrikin Lagoon 1088
The Cow Kickers get the points on the back of some nice scores from Hanneberry, Hibberd, Crameri and Chris Knights. Hanneberry took the 5 Les W votes with his 131 points. For a below full strength Lefties team, Priddis made a welcome return with 113 points, while Selwood and Scotland also notched tons.
Wagga Wagga 1340 d Darraweit Guim 1272
Plenty for both coaches and teams to take away from this game, with both sides notching season high scores. For the Wombats, Leroy Jetta returned to form with 124, while Big Cox led his team with 128. Reilly well worth mentioning with 122 - having a fine season. For the Guim, AW1 gained 5 more Les W votes and continued his extraordinary season with 141. Betts made a fine return with 126, Walters good with 119.
Foul Bay 1393 d Venus Bay 1096
The Chooks take out the battle of the bays, comfortably accounting for the Vultures on the back of a mighty 173 from Pat Dangerfield. Four others reached the ton for the Chickens. Jeff Garlett led the Vultures with 135, with Malceski, Mundy and Pearce also notching 100+ scores.

Welcome to the Newbies Round
Due diligence was carried out by the powers that be, and it is with great pleasure that we are able to welcome three fine new coaches/managers to the ORFFA in 2013. In their first matchup against each other Larrikin Lagoon will be hosting Wagga Wagga, and it is sure to become a fierce rivalry over the coming seasons. Meanwhile, fresh off their first win, the Lilacs of Lovely Bank and coach Jen will head to Powlett Plains for their Round 7 match.
