Four rounds into the ORFFA season and it is becoming clearer that many teams' depth is going to be tested in coming weeks as player injuries and poor form continue.
A number of one-sided games this week, but we'll start the review with the close one:

Whitsunday 1235 d Venus Bay 1232
The Warriors hold on for their first win for the ORFFA season, escaping with a three point victory over Venus Bay.
The Warriors built a lead on the back off a consistent midfield effort - Boak (157), Sloane (126), Wines (125) and Gibson (103) all doing the job. Aaron Black (96) and Robbie Warnock (113) were also good.
Coming into the final game, Venus Bay needed 105 points from Melksham and Mundy. Regrettably injury intervened - while Melksham scored 55, Mundy's concussion and red-vesting limited him to 46 and handed the game to the Warriors.
Dayne Beams top scored for the Vultures with 145, with Higgins' 115 up forward very handy. Malceski and Gibbs also exceeded 100.

Cradle Mountain 1270 d Lovely Banks 1134
The magic of Stevie J was on show again as Cradle Mountain scored a comfortable 136-point win over the Lilacs.
In another game marred by red vests and late withdrawals, Steve Johnson (150) pulled out his full bag of tricks to gain five Les W votes. Heppell's 133, Pendles (129) and Liam Shiels (96) were more than handy too.
Nick Smith's 80 as a late call-up for Dustin Fletcher was vital, while an OOP Shaun Grigg scored 26 up forward.
The Lilacs copped the raw end of the sub stick, with both Caddy (24) and Simpkin (38) wearing the red vest for good portions of their games. Late withdrawals from Matt Rosa and Paul Chapman also stung.
Scott Thompson returned to good form with 121 to top score for Lovely Banks, while Swan (111), Duncan (101) and Hunt (100) played well.

Foul Bay 1477 d Nunawading 1268
A high quality game saw the reigning premiers run out deceptively comfortable winners over the Nuffers.
Consistent efforts across the board from both teams saw a high scoring game unfold. That both teams lost quality players - Mumford for Foul Bay, Myers for Nunawading - resulting in one doughnut each renders the scoring even more impressive.
The only real difference in the game was that while Nunawading ranged mainly between 70 and 110, Foul Bay's were between 90 and 125.
Foul Bay were led by Jimmy Bartel (129), the unlikely figure of Leigh Adams (127), Pavlich (125) and Stokes (124).
For Nunawading, Kade Simpson top scored with 128, while JPK came up with 120 in the wet. Brent Stanton scored 114 and Matthew Broadbent 111.

Wagga Wagga 1212 d Larrikin Lagoon 962
Wagga Wagga continued its fine form to cement its spot in the top half dozen, thrashing a depleted Lefties team by 250 points.
The Wombats got fine contributions up forward from Jay Schulz (120), down back from Scott Thompson (132) and from the bench (Josh Jenkins' 122) to cover for some quiet games from Lindsey Thomas and Buddy (both below 30).
Watson and Swallow also topped the ton.
For the Lefties, Ben Cunnington's emergence into a contested ball monster continued with 126 points, while fellow young mid Reece Conca scored 105. Baguley made it back-to-back tons with 101.
However, the late withdrawal of Currie in the ruck and the red vesting of Rohan (15) played havoc with the Lefties' matchups.

Charlie's Opening 1256 d Powlett Plains 1094
Like Wagga Wagga, Charlie's Opening also made it three wins out of four with a comfortable victory over the Packers.
The Spelunkers enjoyed a remarkably even performance, highlighted by top-scorer Jack Gunston (134) and Daniel Jackson (115) Mackie and Hooker also scored 100+ in defence.
Overall, 10 of Charlie's Opening's players scored 80 or more.
Powlett Plains were not quite able to match the Spelunkers' consistency - Fasolo, Ball and Lumumba provided 100s but beyond them the scoring fell away a little more sharply than that of their opponents.
There remains, however, plenty of encouragement in the scoring of Stanley, May, Hunt, Aish and Greene - good signs for the future.

Birdsville 1272 d Gariwerd 1100
Birdsville recorded its first win for the year, accounting for Gariwerd 1272-1100.
The Battlers' midfield shone, with early-season star Adam Treloar (105) joined by Brad Ebert (127) and a return to form for Daniel Wells (107). Jesse White compiled 119 while Bachar Houli put together another solid performance in defence (115).
Luke McDonald continued his good early season form (80) while Zac Clarke scored 92 in the ruck.
Despite the loss, Gariwerd still found some shining lights - most notably up back with youngsters Brodie Smith (125) and Cam Guthrie (126) turning it on.
Robbie Gray scored 111 and Matty DeBoer 107 in the forward line, while young Matt Crouch's 80 off the bench was encouraging.

Iron Knob 1382 d Gundagai 967
The Codpieces continue on their merry way, a wonderfully even team performance taking Iron Knob to a comfortable win over Gundagai.
Gary Ablett had is usual top-notch performance, scoring 138. Nathan Jones (132) and Ryan Griffin (102 in a welcome return to form) were also among the top point-scorers.
However the form of youngsters Jackson Macrae (124) and George Horlin-Smith (who scored 113 but was named as an emergency) are evidence of the depth the Codpieces have.
For Gundagai Sam Mitchell and Matt Suckling led the way with 149 and 122 points respectively in defence. Tom Rockliff notched up another 117 while Hayes, Neale and Sandi battled hard.
Unfortunately injuries continue to haunt the Hoppers - this time to youngster Nathan Wright. Hopefully a few players are due to return to the Gundagai side in the very near future, among them Taylor Adams and Sam Dwyer.

Waikikamoocow 1257 d Marble Bar 753
Waikikamoocow continued its great start to the year, thumping Marble Bar by 504 points.
The Incorrigibles were untroubled throughout much of the match, and despite a slow start the quickly took control of the game.
The evergreen Nick Dal Santo top scored with 134, with Wright, Jacobs (enjoying a good 2014 thus far), McVeigh and Hibberd all scoring 100 or more. Crameri and Elliott were also notable up forward.
For Marble Bar, Curtly Hampton continued his career best form with 109 in defence. However injuries to a number of key players continue to hobble the side.
Jack Steven's 80 was an encouraging return, with hopes Bellchambers and Ryder might be able to play this week.

Darraweit Guim 1156 d Mt Beauty 1084
Darraweit went to 4-0 with a 72-point win over Mt Beauty in a game blighted by injuries.
Mt Beauty romped to an early lead thanks mainly to Steele Sidebottom (109) and Dustin Martin (94) - though both teams saw good players put in shockers in the early going. The Uglies' Matthew Boyd snared five Les W votes with a vintage 153.
But the game ended up turning back in the Dirigibles' favour thanks to the unlikely figure of James Frawley, whose 131 was the Blimps' top score. Support from Cornes (125), Westhoff (123), Hill (113) and Gibson (110) saw the home team edge to the lead.
By this time though both teams had lost players to injury - Leuenberger (0) and Menzel (12) for Mt Beauty, and Nic Nat (27) for Dirigibles.
And despite the best efforts of Nick Riewoldt (119) for Mt Beauty late in the game, and an injury to the Blimps' Goddard (11), Darraweit were able to hold on for the win.
