<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Waito's Warriors (96) def Brady's Bunch (48)
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Somewhat of a walkover for the Warriors, and a much needed win as they stay in contention for the top seed in the AFC.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Waito's Warriors - The Warriors were decisively led by their two dominant wide outs, Megatron (20 - 83 yards, 2 TDs) and Thomas (28 - 108 yards, 3 TDs), with both recording multiple touchdowns in their teams wins. Ponder (13- 174 yards, 2 TDs) and Morris (13 - 139 yards) were on opposite sides on TNF, but both proved valuable for Waito and whilst Morris continues his return to form to look more like the top 10 RB everyone expected him to be early in the year, he is still missing out on the touchdowns at the Redskins. There was little else to get excited about for the Warriors though, Henne (3 - 180 yards) threw 2 intercepts, Richardson (3 - 2 yards), like the Colts, was poor, whilst Graham (1 - 18 yards), Washington (2 - 29 yards) and Akers (2) all had little impact. The Ravens D/ST (11) were solid against a dangerous Bengals attack, and it was really only the last quarter that saw the Raven's concede major points. Not the greatest outing for the Warriors, but well and truly enough to get the points in this clash and keep them in the race to go back-to-back.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Brady's Bunch - Can't be bothered attending to your team to put up some sort of effort, this reviewer can't be bothered reviewing your team.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]The Jug-O-Naughts (97) def Billy Bass (96)
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]In a super tense finish that had so much of SNF riding on this result, The Jug-O-Naughts maintain their resistance of the dreaded divisional wooden spoon, whilst for Billy Bass, their record remains a decidedly unhealthy 3 and 6 and must be spending more time watching College Football than the NFL now as he prepares to hit the 2014 draft to unearth some much required star players.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]The Jug-O-Naughts - Rookie Stills (13 - 75 yards, TD) did his level best to hold of the triple SNF threat of Billy Bass the O-Naughts were up against, and in the end, it was enough to hold on. The inadequate performances of the Raiders QB Pryor (7 - 122 yards, RUSH TD), WR Moore (4 - 45 yards) and the Rams TE Cook (1 - 17 yards) looked likely to cost the O-Naughts in this thriller. Though, sitting Colston (16 - 107 yards, TD) on the pine would probably have stung Coach Collins even more should they have lost… The good news included Matty Ice (11 - 172 yards, TD) rebounding somewhat, well at least he got out of single figures this week, whilst Reggie (10 - 105 yards) ran for over 100 yards but couldn't find the end zone, AP (19 - 75 yards, 2 TDs) found the end zone twice but still should have got more carries, and Keenum found Johnson (15 - 37 yards, 2 TDs) for a pair of touchdowns (5 over the past two weeks) as they continued to work on a blossoming relationship. The Seahawks D/ST (9 - the loss of Browner may hurt in future weeks) and Janikowski (8) were impressive despite the loss, and will be doing their best over the remaining weeks to be thought of as possible keepers for 2014….
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Billy Bass - This was a terrific comeback from what looked a hopeless situation for Billy Bass, and to lose by only 1 point says a lot about the character of this squad. With Wallace (1 - 25 yards) going down early in the Packers loss to the Eagles, and White (2 - 20 yards) having only 1 catch in his return from injury for Atlanta, so much was dependent on the Saints/Dallas game, and with Witten (2 - 27 yards) having little impact, the Saints D/ST (7), Sproles and the Cowboys Kicker, Bailey (5), just couldn't do enough to get them home. Sproles (18 - 12 yards, 2 Total TDs) was enormous on the ground and in the air in the Saints big win over the Cowboys, despite the time-share he endured in the Saints backfield. Garcon (17 - 119 yards, TD), AJ (21 - 151 yards, TD) and Dalton (14 - 274 yards, 2 TDs) all played their part, though Dalton was sacked 5 times and his last few weeks have reminded everyone that in reality, he is just an ordinary QB, as opposed to the September/October rock star run of big passing days and multiple TDs. Truth be told, the Hail Mary from Dalton that should have been battered away, but instead landed in the safe hands of AJ Green probably made this game a lot a closer than what it should've been. Jennings (9 - 88 yards) was admirable for the Raiders, though the fact that Pierre Thomas (22) also had a big day out for the Saints whilst sitting on the bench is likely to have caught the attention of Coach Byron, as it cost them severely in this game.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Team Stowie (68) lost to Canuck Warriors (94)
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]In a must win game for both teams, Canuck got the chocolates and stay alive in the NFC, whilst it is curtains for Team Stowie as they look towards 2014 on the back of very poor performance at home in the penultimate round.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Team Stowie - 5 points from your 2 QBs is pathetic, particularly when your opposition are playing two QBs that are posting 49 points between them - there is no way back from there. Freeman didn't start for the Vikings, and with Smith on the bench, it was up to SuperCam (5 - 169 yards, INT) to steer the ship, and whilst he was good for the Panthers, Fantasy wise, he was terrible. The two Dolphins in the Stowie line-up managed a paltry 1 between them (Miller 2 yards = 0; Wallace 15 yards = 1), Sanders (3 - 13 yards) was barely sighted for the Steelers with Antonio Brown the main man for Pittsburgh, and Jonathon Stewart (4 - 41 yards) was yet another low score in the defensive battle at Candlestick. It wasn't all bad though for Team Stowie, Julius Thomas (15 - 96 yards, TD) proved himself again to be one of the best TEs going around, the Panthers D/ST (16) were terrific and Hauschka (19) had an absolute field day for Seattle. With Smith, Ivory and Gronk on the bye, Harvin still not back and Cobb still injured, Team Stowie's playoff aspirations end with little more than a whimper, though there is enough evidence to suggest Team Stowie, with sound drafting and wise keeper selection next year, will be a contender shortly enough.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Canuck Warriors - Thanks heavens for RGIII, Nick Foles and Zac Stacy, as the rest of the Canuck line-up provided little throughout this match-up. Way back on TNF, RGIII (27 - 281 yards, 3 TDs) looked very much like the RGIII version of 12 months ago, despite the Vikings ravaging the Redskins defense and handing them a solid second half beating. Foles (22 - 228 yards, 3 TDs) continued his stellar form for Philly whilst replacing Vick, and Stacy (12 - 62 yards, TD) again carried the lion's share of the Rams' offense, though admittedly, Tavon Austin did a few nice things (see: understatement). It would be remiss to not mention Blair Walsh (11), who played a significant part in the Vikings victory of Washing in the TNF game. But outside of them, there are concerns for Canuck. Mike James (4 - 41 yards) was unable to repeat last week's heroics, Fitz (2 - 23 yards) had little impact in the Cardinals win over Houston, Allen (4 - 41 yards) was well held by the Denver secondary, and the twin TE's, Gates (6 - 62 yards) and Gonzalez (2 - 29 yards), appear to slowing as the season progresses. Vick and Eli remain bench bound, as do Foster, Bowe and Tate (who was terrific for Seattle), all for various reasons, but such depth may prove terribly decisive in a season where it is looking like being a war of attrition/last-man-standing affair.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]So Long Mr Wallace (92) def Rigil Kentaurus (82)
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]So Long Mr Wallace finally dragged themselves of the bottom of the AFC and keep alive their dreams of avoiding the dreaded divisional wooden spoon, whilst for Rigil, their slim hopes of being a playoff contender was dealt a serious blow.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]So Long Mr Wallace - It was the Wilson and Marshall show for SLMW, both having big days to almost single handedly drag their team across the line. Wilson (21 - 287 yards, 2 TDs) was at his elusive and dynamic best in Seattle strong win over Atlanta, hitting up Tate and Kearse for some lovely long TDs, whilst Marshall (25 - 139 yards, 2 TDs) stood up to be counted in the Bears tight tussle with Detroit. After these two though, the score card like pretty grim, Manuel (9 - 155 yards, TD) was manhandled by the Steelers D, CJ81 (5 - 30 yards, Fumble) was at his rubbish best, The Law Firm (3 - 36 yards) has been firmly supplanted by Gio, Baldwin (7 - 76 yards) was sound for the Seahawks but couldn't latch onto a TD pass, Jimmy Graham (5 - 59 yards) appears still well below full throttle, and the Ravens Brown (1 - 10 yards) was barely sighted in their O/T win over the Bengals. The Titans D/ST (8) were easily scored on by the previously winless Jags, and Novak (8) did his best to keep pace with the scoring machine that is the Denver offence. Two wins on the trot now for SLMW in what is a late season flourish that provides hope and direction going forward for team management.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Rigil Kentaurus - A lot depended on the Miami D/ST (6) in MNF to get Kentaurus across the line, but it just wasn't to be as the Buccaneers held on in a close one, and Kentaurus lost again. It was another inconsistent performance from the early season upstarts, with solid performances from Stafford (18 - 219 yards, 3 TDs) in the Lions win over Chicago, Cutler (12 - 250 yards, TD, INT) in his return from injury (though it appears he remains an injury concern as he was taken out of the game late), Murray (14 - 89 yards, TD), Smith (10 - 46 yards, TD) and The Inconvenient Truth (10 - 82 yards), offset by Shorts, Olsen, Spiller and Prater (4) doing very little indeed. The lack of a decent QB makes Shorts (4 - 42 yards) life very difficult as a Jaguars WR, Spillers (3 - 23 yards) sub-par year continued against a well-drilled Steelers D, whilst Olsen (1 - 14 yards) was a victim of the dour Panthers/49ers struggle. Rigil remain in the race for a playoff spot, but it is hard to see them doing much damage with the sort of form they are in, their starters are going only so-so, and there is little on the bench screaming ‘pick me'. A season which started so brightly appears to be sadly petering out.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Jimbo's Juggernaut (92) lost to Canton Bulldogs (123)
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]The Juggernaut needed a big SNF game from Romo to win this top of the table match-up with a number of their first choice stars on the bye, but it wasn't to be, as Canton stamped their authority on the competition with a strong road win.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Jimbo's Juggernaut - It was the surprising Rams D/ST (25) that led from the front for the Juggernaut, as they put in an outstanding game on the road against Indy. Shady McCoy (15 - 155 yards) was once again a key figure in the Philly offence, but unfortunately couldn't score himself a TD, Antonio Brown (10 - 104 yards) was targeted often by Big Ben and didn't let the Steelers down in their win over the Bills, whilst Luck (13 - 353 yards, TD) and Woodhead (9 - 27 yards, REC TD) were relatively subdued, but still managed good contributions in a tough week for the Juggernauts. Romo (9 - 128 yards, TD) and the Cowboys were terribly ordinary in the Sunday night showpiece, Cruz (3 - 37 yards) was well held by the Raiders, though he is not helped by a QB that is seriously struggling, Ellington (6 - 55 yards) put up back-up RB numbers, Bennett (2 - 29 yards) was barely sighted and Vinatieri (0) was an unfortunate consequence of Luck and Indy rarely finding the end zo<a name='_GoBack][/url]ne, and when they did, they went for a 2 point conversion much to Jimbo's disgust I imagine. With Charles and Amendola on the bye week, and Riley Cooper scoring big, but being wasted on the bench, the Juggernaut just couldn't mount a serious challenge, but undoubtedly remain very confident heading towards the play-offs with their list.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Canton Bulldogs - It was the once again Peyton and Skittles leading the way for Canton, with both in terrific form, Manning (27 - 330 yards, 4 TDs) throwing over 300 yards and adding another 4 TD passes to his ridiculous year-to-date total, though a late knock to the legs is likely to have the Canton coach with sleepless nights this week. Skittles (21 - 145 yards, TD) meanwhile was at his Beastmode best with 24 carries at 6 yards per carry as Seattle dominated Atlanta. The absence of TD's from Cantons other stars kept this match-up close, as Hilton (13 - 130 yards), Jeffery (11 - 114 yards) and Moreno (10 - 65 yards) all had good days but without any end zone action. Flacco (7 - 140 yards, 2 TDs) found the end zone twice, but was generally underwhelming, despite being clutch in O/T in the Ravens win over the Bengals, the Bengals D/ST (14) was solid again in their first outing without big Geno Atkins, and Jordan Reed (12 - 62 yards, TD) continued his rise to prominence on TNF. Forte (4 - 33 yards) was quiet for Chicago, but his season has been excellent and deserves some leniency in this review.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Team Simonoz (85) def Kings of Karlos (79)
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]In another close match-up between two serious playoff contenders, it was the AFC's Team Simonoz that reigned supreme in a low scoring duel that takes them to the top of the standings in the AFC, whilst the Kings of Karlos remain locked with Kentaurus in second position in the NFC.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Team Simonoz - In such a low scoring affair, the contributions from Keenum (19 - 201 yards, 2 TDs), Matthews (11 - 59 yards, TD), D-Jax (14 - 80 yards, TD) and the Cardinals D/ST (15), subbing in for the Chiefs on the bye week, were nuggets of gold for Team Simonoz as they held off a Drew Brees led KoK comeback to win. The low scoring affair between the Panthers and 49ers meant Kaepernick (2 - 91 yards, INT) provided little as his teams Number 1 QB as the Panthers dialed up blitzes that completely shut down the San Francisco attack, and with Bush running rampant, Bell (4 - 41 yards) did little for Detroit (and Team Simonoz). Dezzy Bryant (4 - 44 yards) was completely taken out of the game by a terrific New Orleans defense, the Packers Jones (4 - 44 yards) struggled in the absence of his normal QB, and Fleener (5 - 33 yards, 2 PC) was one of the many Indy players to struggle to make any sort of scoring impact in their loss to the Rams. With little left on the bench (outside of Clemens 15, but surely no-one is starting Clemens over Kap are they….), Team Simonoz were beautifully coaxed to victory by Coach Byrne and deserve their place atop the AFC standings.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Kings of Karlos - Drew Brees. That is all. 392 yards, 4 TDs, and he was taken out of the game with 7 minutes still to play - the man is a monster and deserving of his place in any MVP talk for this season. Unfortunately for KoK, this second consecutive loss will hurt, primarily because they had the scores to win, they just weren't on the park. Gio's 14 (58 yards, REC TD) or Walker's 12 (62 yards, TD) on the field, and KoK win, hindsight is a magical thing… Instead, KoK had Locker get injured and leave the field with a -3 next to his name (24 yards, INT, Fumble), Lacy (8 - 73 yards) was blanketed by the Eagles as in reality, he was their only threat, Welker (2 - 21 yards) and Decker (5 - 52 yards) were well held by the Chargers corners and safeties, Davis (0 - 2 yards) left the game early with a concussion, and the Bills Johnson (4 - 48 yards) and Packers Crosby (5) had below average days. Le'Veon Bell (14 - 57 yards, TD) and the 49ers D/ST (13) were solid contributors in the loss, that whilst I am sure will be reflected upon over the next couple of days, it is unlikely this loss dents the KoK confidence as they remain in the hunt for the second seed in the NFC. With Glennon likely a straight swap for Locker, and Gordon, Gio and Walker all likely to come under strong consideration next week, write off KoK at your peril….
