THE KEEPER LEAGUE (review by bgt2110)
#2 Canton Bullldogs (125) lead #6 Welcome Back Mr Wallace (95)
Both semi final leaders this week had one standout player who went a long way in helping to create a decent lead for their teams. For the bullldogs it was Marshawn Lynch(30) who ran for over 120 yards but more importantly had 3 TD's in the Seahawks drubbing of Arizona. Beast mode no doubt and with a handy 30 point lead going into week 2 it will be difficult for Mr Wallace to make up the deficit. Vincent Jackson(19) has really found his feet in Tampa Bay, Flacco(15) was ok in a losing Ravens outfit while Peyton Manning(14) is right up there in MVP territory. With all of these guys firing and Nicks(12) having a solid game as well the bullldogs will be looking for more of the same in week 2 of this semi final. Although trailing by 30 Mr Wallace still has plenty of room for improvement next week with the likes of Spiller(4), CJ2K(5) and Jimmy Graham(5) all able to punch out scores in the mid teens or higher. Russell Wilson(8) left it all up to his Seahawks d/st to do the damage which didn't help the cause of Mr Wallace. Brandon Marshall(22) had another day out for Mr Wallace and is one of the best WR's in the NFL. He was backed up by the Browns d/st(16), Palmer(14) and Reggie Wayne(12) who has found a new fire in the belly with rookie QB Luck tossing it his way a lot of the time down in Indianapolis. No doubt this margin will be hard to overcome but with the talent at his disposal Mr Wallace can't be written off.
Best of luck to both teams in week 2.
#1 Team Stowie(144) lead #5 Waito's Warriors(126)
After a few pre-game nerves and worries about injuries Team Stowie came out and scored a huge 144 points and in a high scoring and entertaining encounter and the Warriors were able to go toe to toe and score a very impressive 126 themselves. An 18 point lead, although very handy, will not be enough for the boys in Team Stowie to relax for one minute. As mentioned in the previous review the lead is due in a great part to one player, in Team Stowie's case it was Cam Newton(36) who had a ripper just at the right time for Stowie. He has had an up and down year but none of that matters when you can have a game like he did in the finals. It was his second score over 35 in the past few weeks. Mike Wallace(23) appreciated having Big Ben return from injury whilst Moreno(21) is enjoying a second life at Denver in the absence of McGahee. Josh Freeman(16) and Garcon(14) will be looking at continuing on with their impressive form. The Warriors continue to get big games out of their rookie RB's Doug Martin(18) and Trent Richardson(16), elder statesman Steven Jackson(12) also contributed valuable points but his position in the Warriors outfit is up for grabs with Alfred Morris consigned to the bench during this matchup after his heroics the previous week. Roethlisberger(22) returned from injury to lead the Warriors scoring this week while the second QB Jake Locker(15) was also impressive. If the second week of this matchup is anything like the first then both teams will need to be at their absolute best to taste victory, just the way we want a semi final to be.
Good luck to both teams in week 2.

PLAYOFFS MATCHUPS - WEEK 1
#3 Show Me Ya TDs (wateman) 89 at #2 Vicks Dog Fighters (Fez) 107
Show Me Ya TDs has a lot of work to do in order to catch Vicks Dog Fighters who got off to a good start in the two week long matchup. It was BEASTMODE Marshawn Lynch (30fpts) and Brandon Marshall (22fpts) leading the scoring for Vicks Dog Fighters. Show Me Ya TDs got good performances from a trio of rookies with Richardson (16ftps), RGIII (16fpts) and Doug Martin (18ftps) but Bryce Brown (0fpts) disappointed after a big performance the week before. Both teams will be kicking themselves over bench selections with a lot of points wasted led by Moreno (21fpts) and Brady (28fpts) for Vicks Dog Fighters and Show Me Ya TDs respectively.
#4 Lilydale Leather Heads (bgt) 75 at #1 Jimbos Juggernaut (jimbowan) 123
Jimbos Juggernaut held nothing back in a big first week againstthe Lilydale Leather Heads. It was the Seahawks D/ST (39fpts) leading the way after smashing the Cardinals 58-0. They were well backed up by Charles (23fpts) and Alfred Morris (16fpts). The Lilydale Leather Heads relied on Cruz (19fpts), Brees (14fpts) and Greene (13fpts) but will need everyone firing for a chance to catch Jimbos Juggernaut. To add further insult to injury, Fred Jackson (0fpts) will miss the remainder ofthe season for Lilydale Leather Heads with the man replacing him, C.J. Spiller (4fpts), sitting on the roster of Jimbos Juggernaut.
