<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Canton Bulldogs (149) def The Jug-O-Naughts (118)
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]This game was in the balance going into MNF, but the Bulldogs Chicago contingent got the job done for Canton to move them 2 games clear in the NFC.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Canton Bulldogs - This was a game that looked to be slipping away late on Sunday night until it was revived by an outstanding second half performance by Hilton (30 - 121 yards, 3 TDs) on SNF, and then the rout was complete when Forte (23 - 125 yards, TD), Jeffery (12 - 60 yards, TD) and McCown (20 - 272 yards, 2 TDs) played big parts in the Bears win over the Packers in MNF. Flacco (20 - 250 yards, 2 TDs) did enough for the Ravens, but still lacks the consistent receivers and a run game that was once boasted, but now looks easily controlled most weeks. Beastmode (13 - 125 yards) was his bustling best for Seattle but couldn't find the end zone, and even Folk (16) got into the act in New York as the Jets surprised the Saints as his perfect season continued and looks like being a great mid-year pick-up for Canton. The only soft spots for Canton was the dip in form of their TE, Jordan Reed (4 - 37 yards), Jones (6 - 66 yards) not being able to repeat last weeks antics, and the Cincy D/ST (5) minus Geno Atkins battled against the Fins.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]The Jug-O-Naughts - When one of your wide receivers goes for 229 yards and 3 TDs (190 yards and the 3 TDs in the first half mind you), and a QB on your roster throws 400+ yards and 4 TDs, you're not losing too many games. Unfortunately for the Jug-O-Naughts, this was one of those occasions despite Andre Johnson and Tom Brady having big days on Sunday. It's probably worthwhile mentioning that Brady didn't actually get a start for the Jug-O-Naughts, who preferred Ryan against Carolina (one of the top ranked Defenses…) and Pryor up against Philly. Pryor went ok actually (16 - 228, 2 TDs, 2 INT), though somewhat in the background of the Nick Foles show, but Ryan was pedestrian (219 yards, TD). All Day had a great day against Dallas, 140 yards and a TD, and Succop was perfect as KC remained likewise, but outside of these, the Jug-O-Naughts struggled. Colston didn't suit up, Powell (injured? - 2), Moore (8 - 80+ yards, but no TDs) and Rudolph (9 - 35 yards with a TD, fractured foot), and the previously stingy Seahawks D/ST (2) couldn't contain Tampa in the first half, in particular RB Mike James, as they posted a very ordinary score for them.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Kings of Karlos (98) lost to Jimbos Juggernauts (120)
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]A consistent all round performance from the Juggernauts as they defeat the high-flying KoK and retain equal top spot in the AFC in the process, whilst the KoK go to 2 games behind Canton in the NFC.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Kings of Karlos - Rookies Bernard (21 - 79 yards, 2 TDs) and Lacy (21 - 150 yards, TD) were terrific once again, but the KoK just couldn't generate enough points from their wide receivers to trouble the Juggernauts. Brees (19 - 382 yards, 2 TDs) and Locker (10 - 185 yards, Rushing TD) both had average performances, more so Brees who routinely posts computer game numbers but was up against a strong Jets D/ST, and the KoK other rookie RB, Le-Veon Bell (13 - 74 yards), was very good for the Steelers. But with Decker, Davis and Welker all sitting this week out, Stevie J (4 - 36 yards), Gordon (5 - 44 yards) and Delanie Walker (1 - 13 yards) just did not step up in their absence, whilst the Colts D/ST (-5) were picked apart by Keenum and Andre Johnson. Despite the loss, the KoK remain firmly in the hunt for a playoff birth and a prime contender for this years Superbowl.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Jimbos Juggernaut - Despite sitting atop the AFC rankings, the Juggernaut have somewhat gone under the radar this year, but closer inspection of their list reveals a squad primed for a massive tilt at the Superbowl this season. Romo (19 - 337 yards, 2 TDs) and Luck (24 - 271 yards, 3 TDs) are the best QB combination in the TS League, and Charles (9 - 90 yards), despite having a quieter day by his lofty 2013 standards, and McCoy (13 - 44 yards, TD) are the equal of any RB combination in the league, making this the most dangerous offence in the game. Add in the returning Amendola (18 - 122 yards, TD) who finally put it all together for the Pats, and Brown (13 - 71 yards, TD), who is clearly Big Bens number 1 receiver, and they are sound in the wide out spots, particularly when you consider the best receiver on their roster was on a bye week (Cruz). The question becomes, how do you stop the Juggernaut?? Bennett (3 - 36 yards) is not quite reaching his early season form for the Bears, and the Rams D/ST (6) lacks the punch of some of the other big-hitting D/ST's. But even their flex spot appears well covered, with Woodhead (9 - 21 yards) getting the nod this week, Edelman, Ellington and Hopkins could all raise claims to be the Juggernauts Flex play in any given week, making their depth one of the most envious in the league. Not only did they knock of the KoK, but they have firmly arrived as the team to beat in this year's Superbowl.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Billy Bass (82) lost to So Long Mr Wallace (137)
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Billy Bass were hanging in by a thread going into MNF, but an injury to their best player put paid to any chance they had, as SLMW careered away to a strong win away from home. Billy Bass go to a tie for the bottom ranked team in the NFC, whilst SLMW remain last in the AFC despite the win.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Billy Bass - If Billy Bass weren't planning ahead for 2014 yet, they should be now, as Aaron Rodgers went out early in MNF with a shoulder injury (non-throwing arm admittedly) after just 27 yards and 1 fantasy point. So a match-up that begun ordinarily with Dalton (6 - 338 yards, 3 INT) finished even worse with Rodgers exit. In between, Sproles (0) did nothing (did he even suit up?), Tolbert (9 - 24 yards) got a TD, but did little else, similarly Thomas (8 - 24 yards) but without a TD, and the Saints (2) got taken apart by Geno and the Jets. Despite Dalton's struggles (including the game winning safety, oh dear…), AJ Green (12 - 128 yards) still posted a nice score; Garcon (17 - 172 yards) was terrific for Washington; and Romo's BFF, Jason Witten (16 - 102 yards, TD), was good against the Vikings. With only Henne on the bench for QB back-up, Billy Bass will undoubtedly be hitting the waiver wire for a replacement QB, which just about tops of a below average year for Billy Bass.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]So Long Mr Wallace - A dominant showing by the lowly ranked SLMW, with big scores from their big players. Wilson (21 - 217 yards, 3 TDs) led Seattle in their comeback victory over Tampa, CJ81 (29 - 150 yards, 2 TDs) dialed up some very nice runs for the Titans, and Jimmy Graham (23 - 116 yards, 2 TDs) was his most menacing self despite a lingering foot injury as he was Brees most reliable and productive receiver at Metlife. Fill in QB, Jason Campbell (24 - 262 yards, 3 TDs), looked superb for Cleveland in their win over the Ravens, and Marshall (16 - 107 yards, TD) on MNF topped of the imposing SLMW performance despite going off for some time with an injury. The Miami duo of Clay (3 - 22 yards) and Hartline (3 - 39 yards) remain unproductive, The Law Firm (7 - 72 yards) is trying but lacks the punch of the elite RB's, and the Titans D/ST (5) are not quite in the upper echelons of league defenses, but with Julio Jones and Michael Crabtree on the bench missing most of 2013, and Manuel due back soon after missing a bunch of games, there are promising signs for the very near future for SLMW.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Rigil Kentaurus (42) lost to Team Stowie (117)
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]A blowout as Rigil's run of poor form continued against a dynamic Team Stowie who move to 4-5 in the ultra competitive AFC, whilst Rigil Kentaurus cling to 3rd in the NFC in the race for a play-off birth, but will need an immediate return to form if they are to seriously contend this season.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Rigil Kentaurus - The less said the better for Rigil. Spiller looked good for the Bills (finally!!!), running 116 yards for a score of 14, Olsen did nicely for the Panthers (12 - 66 yards, TD), and that's about it… Worst of the rest, Oakland D/ST, who gave up 7 TDs to the elite Nick Foles, Helu (2 - 23 yards) ceded his goal line carries to Darrel Young, and is looking like a very ordinary waiver wire pick-up at what was an important juncture in the year for Rigil, and Murray (3) continued his inconsistent season as he barely posted 30 yards in the Cowboys victory over the Vikings. Smith (7 - 78 yards), Wright (6 - 69 yards) and Tucker tried hard, but without a QB on the park, Rigil were never in the contest. This is bound to lead to more questions regarding the legitimacy of the 2 QB rosters, but perhaps questionable waiver wire selections could be more at the heart of Rigil's worries.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Team Stowie - A rather inconsistent performance from Team Stowie, but they had enough good players to get the chocolates against Rigil Kentaurus. The good included Scam Newton (17 - 249 yards, 2 TDs) leading a very strong Panthers line-up, the return of the Gronk (20 - 143 yards, TD) as Brady's favourite receiver, Ivory (19 - 139 yards, TD) running ramshackle over his former employer, the Saints, and the Panthers D/ST (20) again proving themselves as one of the best in the league. Small but valuable contributions from Miller (10 - 105 yards, Fumble), Wallace (8 - 82 yards), Freddy Jackson (9 - 77 yards) and Hauschka (9) confirmed a big win for Team Stowie. Smith (4 - 124 yards) struggled in the Chiefs 9th win of the season, and Boykin (1 - 15 yards) did little with a replacement QB directing traffic for the Packers, but overall, a much needed win as they hang tough in the race for a play off spot.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Canuck Warriors (152) def Waito's Warriors (66)
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Another blowout, and another former high flyer on the receiving end of the beating, as the Warriors continued their slide down the AFC rankings, and Canuck ramp up the pressure for a playoff spot on Rigil Kentaurus and the Kings of Karlos in the NFC.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Canuck Warriors - With Vick injured and Manning on the bye, Canuck was forced to play Foles, who proceeded to put on a clinic up against the Raiders. 406 yards, 7 TDs and a mammoth 45 Fantasy points much to the delight of the Canuck coaching clique. Foles was ably supported by waiver wire pick up of the year, Zac Stacy (29 - 127 yards, 2 TDs), who was superb against the Titans, Ridley (21 - 115, 2 TDs, Fumble), who played a big part in the 50+ points the Pats racked up against the once vaunted Steelers D/ST, and Keenan Allen (18 - 128 yards, TD), who continues to shine and prove himself to be one of the best rookie wide-outs in the game. RGIII posted a below par score (10 - 291 yards, INT), Tate (2 - 29 yards) was well contained in Seattle's come-from-behind win over Tampa, and Gates (5 - 53 yards) and Bowe (6 - 67 yards) caught some balls but couldn't find the end zone to really lift their scores. With Gonzales (14) and James (19) on the bench, this game could've been even uglier, but for Canuck, it was a season defining game and one that see's them announce themselves as a genuine Superbowl threat.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Waito's Warriors - The merry-go-round situation at QB continued for the Warriors, and again, another underwhelming performance was the result. Ponder got the start for Minnesota over Freeman, and went as good as one could expect - 236 yards, 2 TDs and 17 fantasy points. Waito's QB2, Matt Barkley, only came on late against the Raiders and provided nothing but a donut for the Warriors, though he wasn't alone on the Warriors scorecard with a zero next to his name. The much-hyped Jordan Cameron and Titans Washington both couldn't register a score. T-Rich (5 - 20 yards) does not look to be the best RB in the Indy line-up, and his fantasy scoring reflects it, Smith (5 - 52 yards) didn't play a big part in the Panthers offence, and Williams (3 - 33 yards) was quiet in the Cowboys win over the Vikings. On the plus side, Freddy Morris (18 - 121 yards, TD) was excellent for Washington, and what a score it could've been for the Warriors had the Redskins used Morris more on the goal line - instead the aforementioned Young kept getting the ball, and kept scoring. Gostowski (13) enjoyed the multitude of opportunities Brady and co afforded him and was perfect for the day. Megatron and Thomas to return next week will help, but Martin now might be in a backfield committee at Tampa, Jackson doesn't appear to be the answer to Atlanta's RB needs, and the QB situation is a debacle to be frank. So many very good players, yet they remain in a rut and do not look like repeating their 2012 heroics.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Brady's Bunch (98) lost to Team Simonoz (104)
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]In the closest game for the round, Team Simonoz got a win to keep pace with their AFC rivals Jimbos Juggernaut, whilst the Bunch remain anchored to the bottom of the NFC leaderboard.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Brady's Bunch - This will be one the Bunch consider slipped away, most notably when Rodgers went off early in MNF leaving star wide receiver Jordy Nelson (6 - 67 yards) to receive throws from some no-name (Seneca Wallace) as the Packers lost in MNF. Despite the big loss to New England, Big Ben (26 - 400 yards, 4 TDs) posted great numbers for the Steelers, Rivers (18 - 341 yards, 2 TDs) was solid for the Chargers, Dobson (25 - 130 yards, 2 TDs) enjoyed not being the number one receiver and posted a couple of big plays for New England, and Hartley (10) was serviceable for the Saints. Elsewhere, things aren't so pretty. Williams (5 - 42 yards) struggled for Carolina, Rice (3 - 17 yards) put in another sub-par performance and whilst he appears to be playing injured, he is doing nothing but causing heartache for the Bunch, and Thompkins and Cumberland didn't bother the scorers. The Pats D/ST (5) would've been glad Brady played as well as he did, as they struggled to contain the Steelers Big Ben led offense. A disappointing loss for the Bunch as this would have been a very nice scalp in what has been a challenging year and they now must be wishing 2013 ends relatively quickly and painlessly.
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]
<p style='text-align: justify; -ms-text-justify: inter-ideograph;]Team Simonoz - For a squad missing its 2 starting QB's, this was a sterling performance from Team Simonoz. Keenum (29 - 350 yards, 3TDs) was terrific for so much of the Indy/Houston game, and looks to be the main man to replace Bradford in the Team Simonoz line-up as Clemens (11 - 210 yards, TD, Fumble) was inconsistent in the Rams loss to the Titans. Elsewhere, D-Mac (1 - 12 yards) finally succumbed to injury, Mathews (3 - 34 yards) was poor, Dezzy (6 - 64 yards) had good opportunities for some big plays but had a bout of the fumbles (when he went for the actual ball as opposed to calling for a flag on the play instead of trying to catch it!), Fleener (8 - 64 yards) found the end zone, but only on a 2 point conversion, and Douglas (8- 82 yards) couldn't repeat his recent high scoring performance. However, D-Jax and the Chiefs D/ST again produced for Team Simonoz, Jackson (21 - 150 yards, TD) one of Foles main targets, and the Chiefs D/ST (16) outscoring the Chiefs offence. With Kaepernick to return from the bye next week, Team Simonoz will be much<a name='_GoBack][/url] improved from this performance, and whilst this was only a close win over the lowly ranked Bunch, they maintain their equal top standing in the AFC and continue to mount a challenge for this years Superbowl.
