Well, its good news and bad news for the donors this week. The good news is that we scored 2308 for the round, which placed us at 86,617 while the bad news is we fell 2700 places in the hunt for the overall, to now be ranked 18,026.

On the leagues front, theres more good news - bad news. The really bad news is we only won one of our leagues this week, the bad news is we made the winners finals in only two leagues, and the losers finals in the other three, while the good news is were ranked number 2 in our best league.

Join me over the break to see how our team went, and how our finals are shaping up.<!--more-->

So, our individual players performed as follows:

    Deledio DEF 144
    Scotland DEF 89
    Goddard DEF 122
    Shaw DEF 73
    Lake DEF 57
    Carrazzo DEF 78
    Yarran DEF 79
    Ablett MID 165 Captain 330
    Kennedy MID 90
    Selwood MID 132
    Mitchell MID 86
    Pendlebury MID 126
    Priddis MID 107
    Cox RUC 76
    Roughead RUC 114
    Dangerfield FWD 127
    Sidebottom FWD 121
    Riewoldt FWD 102
    Martin FWD 76
    Porplyzia FWD 15
    Goodes FWD 116
    Adams FWD 48

    Shaw DEF 89
    Darley DEF 0
    Gibson MID 92
    Sexton MID 0
    Campbell RUC 44
    Pattison RUC 0
    Franklin FWD 0
    Milera FWD 0

Beginning down back, and we had Deledio leading the way on a huge 144, with Goddard following behind on 122. From there things went south very quickly, with some very disappointing scores coming from the blues brothers in Scotland (89), Yarran (79), and Carrazzo (78). Shaws 73 and Lakes 57 were just as disappointing, but we couldnt cover all of this if we had wanted to, since our bench of Shaw (89 - beating four of our starters) and a Darley donut mean that we could have only wished for a 32 point improvement on team selection.

Onto the mids, and once again its a case of good and bad news. The good was really good, with Captain Gazza doubling up his 165 for a sweet 330 points! Trailing him was Selwood on 132, Pendlebury on 126, and Priddis on 107. After that we had a poor Kennedy 90, and a worse Mitchell 86. These last two were outscored by our emergency, with Gibson on 92 points, while Sexton remains an injured donut. So here we lost a potential 6 points, not much, but we would never have made the change anyway.

The big men continued the good news -bad news story, with Roughead on 114 doing a good job, but big Cox was somewhat horrible in only scoring 76 points. Our bench cover wouldnt have seen an improvement here, with Campbell on 44 and Pattison maintaining his donut!

Finally the forward line, our biggest concern all season, again living up to the tag, and still maintaining our good - bad news mix for the week. The front seven were topped by Dangerfield and his 127, closely followed by Sidebottom on 121. The next two also broke the ton, with Goodes on 116, and Riewoldt on 102. After that we had serial disappointment Martin on 76 points, replacement Adams on 48 points, and Porplyzia on a lowly 15 points. There was no cover here, so no potential gains, although we should be getting Buddy Franklin back this week, along with everyone else, so we should be getting an improvement!

In the end our potential points gain was only 38 points, but every point counts...

Back to the leagues, and Ill give some more detailed wraps from now on. Beginning with our first league, Ucantbetooserious, where we lost our final game, finishing the season on 8 and 9 in a four-way tie for ninth. We placed 10th, which gives us the double chance in the loosers finals. Our first match is against Shoodabeens, who we just lost to, which doesnt bode too well.

League number two is Ucantbe TS, where happily we won our last match, and are ranked number two! Were up against Ellis in Wonderland in the double-chance qualifying final in the winners half of the draw, however once again they outscored us this week.

Our third league is TS Igotatheory, where we lost our final game to be the best of the loosers in ninth place. We were in a three-way tie for seventh, but our percentage was the worst, again, it comes down to potential points each week. Were up against Lord Brockys Best, who outscored us by 250 points this week, so once again, its not looking good.

League number four for the donors is TS Pine Warmers, where we lost our final game, but still managed to make the winners finals, in a clear 7th place. Were in a sudden death final with Krunchy Nuts, who once again outscored us this week by around 250 points.

Our final league is the TS WA League, where we lost our final game, to end up in a clear-cut 10th spot on the ladder. This gives us the double chance in the loosers finals, with our first up match against The Terrible Three, and as you may have guessed, they outscored us this week, but only by 112 points.

Im not going to bore everyone with a player by player comparison of our finals, but its not looking too good. Maybe we should just move our focus back to the overall, and start climbing the ladder again.

Join us in the donors forum to help make the team selections for next week.
