The donors had an absolute ripper week this week, scoring a massive 2561 points, ranking us 488th for the round!!! This brings us to a total season score of 17,362, with an over-all ranking of 11,602 for the year, so we’re heading in the right direction at a rapid rate (jumping 14 thousand places this week :)). In our leagues its W’s across the board, placing us 6th in Ucantbetooserio, 1st in both Ucantbe TS and TS Igotatheory, 3rd in TS Pinewarmers, and a lowly 12th in the TS WA League.

A big congratulations and thankyou to everyone who’s been contributing to the team over the past couple of months. Lets keep up this great run, and get ourselves into the top rungs of the over-all leaderboard (if we gain another 14k places this week we’ll be a LONG way infront!!!) We are still 1,320 points behind the leader, but we made up 22 points on him this week, so at this rate we’ll beat him by mid season, 2015!

Join me over the break to see how our team did so well.<!--more-->

Our team breakdown was pretty impressive this week, looking like the following:

    1. Deledio,DEF,157
    2. Goddard,DEF,115
    3. Broughton,DEF,109
    4. Clarke,DEF,89
    5. Shaw,DEF,133
    6. Lake,DEF,112
    7. Morris,DEF,48
    8. Pendlebury Vice Captain,MID,147
    9. Kennedy,MID,132
    10. Sidebottom,MID,111
    11. Selwood,MID,140
    12. Ablett Captain 150 x 2 ,MID,300
    13. Horsley,MID,104
    14. Cox,RUC,139
    15. Giles,RUC,92
    16. Dangerfield,FWD,174
    17. Franklin,FWD,99
    18. Roughead,FWD,90
    19. Martin,FWD,74
    20. Porplyzia,FWD,86
    21. Milera,FWD,48
    22. Adams,FWD,62
    ,,
    1. Bugg,DEF,0
    2. Ellis Emergency,DEF,39
    3. Kennedy Emergency,MID,0
    4. McDonald,MID,0
    5. Redden,RUC,0
    6. Pattison,RUC,0
    7. Smith,FWD,0
    8. Treloar Emergency,FWD,84

Once again our defence stood strong, led by Deledio’s magnificent 157. He was followed in by Shaw’s 133, Goddard’s 115, Lake’s 112, and Broughton’s 109, meaning we had five defenders crack the ton. Bringing up the rear were the rookies Clarke on 89 and Morris on 48, with our bench selections of Bugg’s donut and emergency Ellis’ 39, meaning that we selected our players perfectly this week.

I’ll start my way from the bottom of the mids this week, just for something different, by saying that it would be nice if emergency Kennedy and McDonald were playing, for the cash generation, but we didn’t need either of them, as our regulars did it well. Lets hope this is a sign of things to come for our team, as Horsley brought in 104 points, Sidebottom was on 111, Kennedy came home with 132 points, Selwood killed it with 140 points, Pendelbury was back in form with a 147, while perma-captain Ablett did everything we could ask for, with his 150 doubling up for a cool 300 points! A perfect showing from our midfielders, lets hope they can keep it up!

In the rucks we had full-forward Cox boot five goals and 139 points, while Giles did well for his 92. Once again, it would be nice to see our bench playing, with donuts from both Redden and Pattison becoming a bit of a worry as the byes get closer.

The forward line is once again our weakest point, even though we had Dangerfield top-scoring with a huge 174 points this week. He was the only forward to break the ton, with Franklin just missing out on 99, ruckman Roughead on 90, Porplyzia on 86, the disappointing Martin on 74, Adams on 62, and Milera on 48 points. On the bench we had a Smith donut, and an 84 from our emergency Treloar, which means this was the only line that selections let us down, by the tune of 36 points. If we had the [insert proverbial here] to put the C on Dangermouse, we could have brought in an extra 24 points, so in the end we missed out on a potential 60 points this week. But we can’t possibly complain with how we went!

Last week we traded out Shiel and his 62 points, for Sidebottom and his 111, so thats a definite win right there. For this week we have $64,200 in the bank, while you’ll have to head over to the donor forum to see how many trades we have left, and what we’re planning on doing with them.

As for the cash generation, we have Marty Clarke cruising along, up $24k this week, and $221k for the season. Also down back we have Lake up a further $32k this week, Morris up $5k this week, and everyone’s disappointment Ellis dropping $13k.

In the mids we had Horsley jump a further $67k this week, to be up nearly $150k after his two games. The rest of the mids, and our rucks were donuts, apart from everyone’s favourite 2012 rookie, Jonathan Giles, still climbing $15k this week, to be up just shy of $300k for the year!

Onto the forwards, and although they’re letting us down on the scoreboard, the cash-generation is going ok with our cows all up this week. Porplyzia is up $6k ($118k for the season), Milera is up $8k ($152k for the season), Adams up $45k ($119k after two games), and Treloar up $42k ($152k for the season).

So, what’s our trading plan for this week? Join us in the donor forum to find out all the secrets!
