Teams Round 22

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

Bloody hell! Some *huge* outs right about now! It’s really become a battle of attricion this finals business!

On the plus side though, so huge outs have been offset with a number of big ins- so if you’re lucky, you’ll be fielding a full squad without the need to trade (though I’m gunna guess that 95% of you guys are out of trades. :D ). Of everyone, Hodge is gunna hurt the most, with no backmen coming back in for relief.

INS: Pavlich, Sandilands, Fyfe, Hayes, Ryder, ROK, Sylvia
OUTS: Podsidly, Hodge, Didak, Cooney, Watson, Brown, Mumford, Rohan

Round 21 teams.

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

So, do we trust that the Browndog is back? Or do we panic because Pav is out? There’s some good ins this week, put just as many outs. Hayes having a break makes my brownlow bet want to cry- he was meant to be best on ground these last two weeks. :D

Oh, and someone call Harvey- Tell him that “soreness” is too “obvious” and makes a bit of a “mockery” of everything- at least be a little more specific about the soreness.

INS: Corey, Rioli, Ball, Rohan, Cooney, Grant, Brown, Hurn
OUTS: Hayes, Pavlich, Mundy, Hille, Bock, Knights, Vince, Higgins, Maguire, Sheppard
Extended Bench: Trengove

Full teams are over the break.

Teams for Round 20

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

Sick doggies and Sandilands- the two biggest problems for this week.

Looks like the danger this week is happening in the midfield- On the plus side, a couple of forwards and backs will be coming back in to help sure up our other lines.

The biggest ins and outs are as follows:

INS: Murphy, Higgins, Waters, Dangerfield, Davis, Peterson
OUTS: Davis, Ball, Farmer, Cooney, Priddis
Extended Bench: Dangerfield, Peterson, Trengove

Full teams over the break.

Round 19 teams.

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

so, last week damaged the Defenders. This week it’s looking like forwardlines and Rucks that will suffer. Skipper and Sandilands will see a bunch of Zeros this round, particularly if Trengove doesn’t make the cut, meanwhile, coaches already smarting from Pods on the bench now have to contend with Gumby, Rioli and Ballantyne going down.

Ah well, at least we’ve had a number of inclusions to that backline. Shaw, Maguire, Johncock should help, while Davis and TDL might help the forward line if you’ve got em.

INS: TDL, Bartel, Shaw, Maguire, Johncock, Davis
OUTS: Gumbleton, Skipper, Rioli, Sandilands, Ballantyne, Dangerfield
Extended bench: Jackson Trengove, Jack Trengove, Webberly, Davis, Higgins

Full teams are over the break.

Teams for round 18

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Alright, one more week til the finals and personally I hope your sitting in better positions that I am… Though let it be known, I’m gunna smash these other also runs… :P

Let’s check out the major ins and outs for the round

INS: Hille, Trengove, Davis
OUTS: Lockyer, Pods, Bartel, Maguire, Johncock, Hams
Extended: Davis, Sheppard

Two things are standing out to me- A number of people are going to struggle to field a full back line with Maguire, Johncock and Hams going out, particularly if Davis and Sheppard don’t get a call up and; Geelong look like they are kicking off their rest period with Pods and Bartel taking a spell- so keep an eye on those cats!

Round 17 Teams

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

When a mummy team and a daddy team love each other very much… Team happen.

So, teams are out and every trade is becoming like gold. So it’s a welcome relief that we are seeing some big ins this week. Namely with the names Franklin, Hall and Johnson should bolster a lot of forwardlines.

Sadly though for the people that held him, Hille still isn’t back, but he should be back next week.

Any last minute downgrades would have to be happy with the inclusion of Kyle Hardingham and the continued selection of Ashley Smith. There’s also a pair of Freo youngins that should be worth a lookin.

Personally though, I’m a little sad that Crichton is getting a game this year- I had him pencilled in for my squad next year!

IN: Franklin, Nason, Johnson, Hall, Gray, Bock
OUT: Peterson, Shaw, Silvagni

Round 16 Teams

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

With Walesy somewhat distracted at the minute with the recent arrival of his new born 84kg bomber (congrats once again Jo and Walsey, and welcome to the world of footy young Eli), here are the teams for this week and there are some huge in’s and out’s, none bigger than the much anticipated return of Jonothan Brown. Let’s see if tens of thousands of coaches have been rewarded for their patience. Also named is a kid called Marcus from Caaaaarlton who ooozes class…one to keep your eye on for next year.

Some SC teams will be bolstered significantly (chris88 :D ) and will be back to their best scoring capacity so look out.

Ins: McLeod, Corey, Moonman, Neon Leon, BJ, Kosi, Extractor, Brown Dog, Goose, Gumby, Hurn, Waite, Warnock, Broughton, Fyfe, Bail.
Outs: Porpose, Milburn, Sewell, Black, BBBBBH, Nason, Petrie, Trengrove.

Should mention Buddy Love is very doubtful for the Hawks after rolling his ankle at training and will be given to the last minute to come up.

Round 13 teams.

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

There is no “i” in team. But there is one in Split round.

Now, because of that, I feel it’s my duty to remind you all of the loop-hole a partial lockout can bring. (disclaimer- this worked in the round one partial lockout- but VS may or may not have closed it, so proceed with caution.)

The loop hole essentially lets you double dip with your captians, but also with your bench players. Let me explain how it works.

Just one thing though, you *need* to have someone who isn’t playing, but would heve been playing next week. (ie- Sydney’s McNeil or Collingwoods Seamus to those who went the cheap R4)

Step 1. You place your vice captaincy on a player who’s playing this week (ie- Hodge), and your captaincy on someone playing next week (ie- Ablett).
2. You watch and see what Hodge does, if he scores an 80, you do nothing and your real captain will step up to the plate. However, if he belts out a 160, move on to step 3.
3. Move McNeil onto the field for someone else who is playing in week 2 (Didak, Goodes, O’Keefe). And set them as captain, don’t forget to set the star that you’re taking off as an emergency.

Now, because McNeil won’t play- your vice captain will now be your captain, while your emergency comes on to cover his zero. – double dipping.

A bit of planning needs to come into it though, for example, if you’re going with Seamus, your #1 and #2 rucks will have probably already played, so make sure you set him up on the field with your real emergency named *this* week, you won’t be able to change it next week. This could bite hard though if Seamus is a late call up (see: Lobbe last week)

The other thing to consider is that you don’t want to name your other emergency, or else the lowest of the two scores will come on. So you’ll be playing without cover in that position.

The other option, is if you have someone who might play next week, that you might want to play- Like Playfair, you set McNeil on the Field, set your F8 as the emergency (ie- Fyfe) – and if he scores a 20, you can then replace McNeil with Playfair, and get his score instead.

Of course remember, you can’t do *both* strategies, else you’ll have Fyfe filling in for McNeil instead of Didak/Goodes/O’Keefe.

So there you go, a quick guide to tweaking the split round in your favor. :)

Now, there’s also the teams-

INS: Lucas, Roberton, Hams, Stevens, Hargraves
OUTS: Peterson, Stevenson
Extended bench: Hams, Naitanui, Hargraves, Moles

Full teams are over the break-

Teams for round 12.

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

So, we have a few big ins this week- Franklin, Stanton, Bock and Kennelly should see a bunch of cash coming off peoples benches.

That said though, there’s a bunch of painful outs this week! Higgins, Howlett, Maguire, Hille and Davis will be hurting a lot of coaches right now.

So, the big ins/outs.

INS: Franklin, Bock, Stanton, Hitchcock, Kennelly, Connors, Murphy, Silvagni
OUTS: Davis, Hille, Howlett, Prismall, Playfair, Jetta, Higgins, Moles, Maguire, McGrath, McDonald
Extended Bench: Farmer, Webberly, Stevenson, Fyfe, Gysberts, Watts

Also, Bandit- can you send me an email mate! There’s a iScent prize with your name on it mate.
