ORFFA Round 3 (Terry’s Round) Review

Wagga Wagga 734 def by Cradle Mountain 1346
Not so much a matchup as a massacre, the Wombats went in with two hands tied behind their back and blindfolds on, thanks to the AFL’s war on fantasy..
Fielding 6 donuts thanks to a plethora of Hawks and Bombers they were on a hiding to nothing, Libba (102) LDU (104) Bergman (116) and Shultz (117) did what they could.

The Devils Bentley liveried team rolled on, flexing their epeen by fielding 3 rucks.
Hopper, Pendles, Greene and English led the way while Naughton continued his pretty crap start to the season and is now in danger of being dropped with Jordan or Wilson potential replacements. You don’t want to be the weakest component in an iron horse.

Iron Knob 1010 defeated by Nareewillock 1285
With Sinclair, Soligo, Witts, Macrae and Thilthorpe all playing strongly the Knob was let down by 4 blokes who clearly didn’t read the teams list for the week and failed to show up, the team has a lot of promise but some training in professionalism wouldn’t go astray.
The Nuffers were led by Junior Home Factor with 153 and Serong with 142, no ruck and genuinely shit efforts from Rowell and Warner did nothing to alter the result as the newest incarnation of the Nuffers appears to be marching straight into finals

Junee 1361 defeated Venus Bay 1080
Junee’s GWS affiliation switched from a hindrance to a legup this week with all 5 centurions being current or ex giants. Tim Kelly’s pre draft note that he didn’t want to play anymore must have got lost in the mail or eaten by his dog etc, still wants to be paid though that will end at MSD time.

The Vultures also had 5 players score over 100, but too much was left to too few as is often the case in teams that have recently gone deep into drafts selecting elite but L plate players, short term loss, long term gain.

Dunsborough 1090 defeated by Gundagai 1431
Almost anyone facing the Hoppers of late goes in...
Very late to start a post like this, but there are a few TS leagues floating around with spots to fill.

Please post any others in the comments on this thread and I’ll add to the OP.

Also let me know if any of these are full and I’ll move to the end so folks know not to try.

Check over the break for league codes
We still need a few more coaches to fill our third league this year.

If anyone is keen, please comment in this thread and PM me your email address and I will invite you to the league.
Following on from last week's thread, the leagues are taking shape and we can now announce the draft orders.

We've had 27 of last season's coaches recommit for the new season, and 2 have withdrawn. There are still 7 of last year's coaches who we haven't heard from yet - I have moved all to Div-2 and tagged below.

I will try and send out all league invites today or asap.

We will need at least two more new coaches to run three leagues of 12, so can everyone please spread the word, and please also reach out to any of last years coaches who haven't yet recommitted, if you know them.

We’ll be going around again this NBA season with our fantasy NBA TS leagues.

Please comment in here if you are keen to take part.
Congrats to James - “Touk me a while” - for winning the weekly overall prize for Round 17!

Well done, and good luck for the rest of the season!
The ORFFL are seeking a dedicated committed enthusiastic coach to take the reins of one of the leagues oldest clubs.

For regulars to the site you will no doubt know this is a relaxed keeper league, requiring infrequent commitment.

- team delisting and draft at the start of the season
- selection of a team from your list on a weekly basis
- mid season draft involvement optional

Yell out if you’re keen peeps!

Terry is being cremated at 5pm AEST tomorrow, Tracey and I will be rasing a glass to a loyal friend and a genuine gentleman.

The last time we managed to share a drink together was 9 years ago, when he gave up two days of his time to show Tracey and I some wonderful "roads less travelled" photo opportunities in southern Thailand.

We captured some amazing images we would have never otherwise had the chance at, but more important by far the chance to spend quality time together.

RIP wontok.

Bandit has some plans to ensure he remains a part of tooserious within the FA

We will need to find permanent replacement coaches for his teams in TS Addicts, ORFFL as well as here.
