pick 7 is up - I am at Pick 9 so I will check in before I head to work or once I get in now get back to your dungeon until someone else needs you to do something
Haha Johnny @thokash Kashman, wasn't even on Top8 tonight, no point as I picked a sucky team for the 1st ODI Was actually doing a bit of research for my current assignment for my course!!!
I've SMS'd TTH so we are about to get rolling for the day, if you have an upcoming pick stick around!
for those who have already picked how far do we expect GAJ to slip, I was very shocked to have the chance to select him and probably would have taken him if I didn't have the Duckwood choice?
Just took him, REALLY REALLY didn't want to but can't pass him up at 10! I had him at 9 on my list predraft, just frustrating that everyone ahead of me took the players I would have picked ahead of him!
I'm glad he was gone when it got to me tbh, hard call to bypass that much talent. @jamabadar you're up
Yep- really locks you into a win-now strategy- sinking the 1st rounder into Gaz. That said though, you get a lot of value in win-now in the first draft cause for a lot, youth is king.
I was always expecting my pick to be a tough one, would have rathered a pick in the teens. I went Hannebery because of youth. I probably would have taken Pendles over him, Selwood I rated just little bit behind because of his niggles and play style - not sure how long he will last. Then there's the greatest SuperCoach player ever, he could play until he is Boomer's age and wreck us all!
Guys and Gals, please ensure you have the "watch thread" active on the draft thread itself, and I highly recommend that you also select the optional "receive email" . It's a very effective way of following, recording and getting prompts for action regarding the draft.
I reckon I would have taken Hanners as well kash. Reckon I would have even taken him all the way up at 5.
Solid drafting so far all. Still surprised GAJ slipped so far. Only a handful of players are capable of averaging 130+ in the modern era (2005-, e.g post-Buckley).
What a blast who do i pick next? Gray was one i never thought i would have taken this early in a normal draft tough to let Priddis go by but his age was the decider. 3 rucks gone already do i hit the panic button and change my plans, decisions decisions oh what fun to be had best part of the season i think.
Nah, too busy. Reckon I might have a crack at the next one though- seeing all this drafting fun is tickling the itch a bit.
Dingo Beach needs an official draft advisor if you'd like to apply? Interest has been high but i'm sure I can find a spot for you
