If that occurs and Mick misses his pick he'll get Stanton and then the Board will be seriously giving him an ultimatum.

While I don't deny that the lack of activity is very serious, I'm not sure we can give Stanton to anyone who misses their pick, being that he's suspended for the season.
Without reading the rules directly, I'm pretty-sure that we said something along the lines of a missed draft pick automatically gets the next highest averaging "available" player. I'm not convinced that Stanton fits this description. None of the effected players do.

    6. Draft
    (b) There will be a 12 hour (maximum) time limit on picks. If you don't pick within time you will be given the highest ranked player on 2015 averages.

We'll have to discuss at Board level their JPK.

I agree with JPK regarding Stanton, bit unfair giving him a player who's not going to play for the year. But like you said YAD, over to the board to discuss.

To be fair Stanton is the highest averaging player and just because he is suspended don't mean he is exempt would we feel the same if he had sustained an acl and was out for 12 months ? If he doesn't want the highest averaging player he should be here to select someone else

I think the 12 hours should not include midnight until 8. I'm pretty sure we have suspended previous drafts during these hours; one of the main reasons being the time difference between coaches. It really doesn't hurt as pretty much all of us take our picks within an hour or so of each other.

Hey guys, why are we rushing this?

I understand that "rulez are rulez" but we have 40 odd picks to get through in 40 days. As we knocked off ten today that will be simple.

We're already "drafting blind" as we're going before the NAB, so picks taking a little while is no bad thing in my book.

Personally I'd have no problem with a 24 time limit, and there should definitely be a 12-8am amnesty (which has applied in previous drafts).

And I agree with those above -getting Stanton auto-picked would be pretty harsh.

Does korumburra even have a pick? Did they delist/retire/trade anyone? My lists are pretty out of date but I had them with 26 already..

I like the idea of drafting before NAB has started. Test out the research and scouting abilities of coaches.

Yad has a decision been made? The 12 hours is up and I'm sure all the coaches want to get this going again . ..
