How does one break a finger throwing a frisbee?
    Catching I understand, but throwing?

Doesn't matter Chief, the frisbee is ok so that's all that matters :p

Yeah, this isn't going to end well.

Bowled 4 overs then didn't bat despite being a top order batsman.

It's OK though, Neil Balme reckons that Howe will only be injured for 2-3 weeks.

I bet Howe is one of those players that spends his break during the mid-season byes skiing at Thredbo.

I'm sure there's a "That's how he caught up with the supporters" gag in there somewhere.

I was expecting topups to be phased in for NAB 3 and NAB 4 and also rotated a bit for the first month or so of the season proper, injuries will also be factor but maybe not as much as for 18 or 19 year olds from other clubs

I expect topups to struggle to match previous performance levels performance wise particularly early so there might be some value in midpricers who might shed some $$$ in the first half of the season and pick up for the last 10-12 rounds, but I expect that few would be traded in when we can get premiums or rookies at rock bottom at that point anyhow.

As Simpkin is "awkardly" priced at this stage I would only be looking at any of the really cheap topups - Polkinghorne and Grimley are the 2 that come to mind but their may be others - but these would be the most likely to struggle to get a regular game given they probably won't be much ahead of the talented kids who the Bombers will be looking to get games into.

Indeed. Was kinda surprised at the decision to recruit a player who had been particularly enjoying his retirement, but I don't want to be mean so I've both spoiler tagged and rhyming slanged it as an extra precaution.

I initially had Libba and Jaegar O'Meara (subject to preseason progress) but wasn't keen on Crouch due to his injury history.

At this stage I am planning on Libba only but will reconsider if Crouch plays well in the Crows last 2 NAB games.

If you're staying away from Crouch due to injuries why would you been anywhere near considering JOM?
