      No idea how Scully gets 90, must get bonus points for running

      Wow, I admit I haven't even looked into that.

      Yeah, a bit of a surprise perhaps. Stats don't immediately suggest he did all that much.

      Tonight still didn't give me any clarification as to who our rucks would be or who our tall defenders would be come R1.

      Lobb certainly put his hand up for the Giants though. Haven't seen a better game from him.

      We sat beside the giants bench so had no tactical view at all, but seemed to me as though he had zero impact watching the game, missed tackles, one handed mark attempts and a few other clown acts..

      Impressions from the game without seeing any replays;
      Lobb possibly went ahead of Stewart for a fwd spot, ran himself into the ground and was consistently competing and out marking some more highly considered opponents, though Stewart played really well in the last qtr.
      Simpson has the big bustling body a mummy backup needs, but f'all use if he can't tap to advantage, if that doesn't pickup in the next few weeks Lobb AND Stewart may well play.
      Our young mids gave everything but were clearly startled by the pace of the game, started to find poise in the 2nd half.
      Buntine was super impressive, act upon act of fearless attack on the ball, Marchbank beaten comprehensively, Williams and Wilson both showed some dash, Wilson probably the more impressive, though with the dogs dominating the midfield they were often left with Hobbs choice for final disposal.
      Most of the others showed enough to be happy about

      For the dogs, to be honest I don't recognise the players or numbers enough to be comprehensive but from what I could see;
      Stevens is either a way better player than I thought or he didn't have any serious competition, felt like he had his own ball at times.
      Hunter and Stringer both impressive, and Caleb Daniel, geez I love watching him play, he always seems to have time to find and then hit the right target.

      Stevens was never really used as a pure mid under Beveridge, yesterday was probably his first opportunity to impress - which he certainly did.

      He is actually the most obvious replacement for Crameri's role, given that Koby missed large chunks of 2015 due to injury and was seen as on the fringe of our best 22.

      Our goal kicking accuracy obviously hasn't improved since the EF loss to Adelaide. We were attrocious again when aiming for the big sticks.

      After re-watching a replay of the game, I think Campbell may have gone past Roughead in the pecking order. Really disappointing game from Roughead, just doesn't appear that he is any better than average as either a FWD/Ruck/DEF. Roughead was recently demoted and is no longer our vice captain this year also, which doesn't bode well.

      Minson attended almost twice as many ruck contests as Campbell, yet they won essentially the same number of hitouts. Campbell is clearly putting his case for inclusion come Round 1.

      So now I know who 15 was :) he impressed at the around the ground contests and took a couple of nice marks up fwd which converted to goals.
      Agreed dogs should have been 10 goals up at 1/2 time.

      There is a good reason why Mitch Brown is already in 50% of SC teams. Will be in more by the time R1 arrives.
      Hartley locked in also.
