Round 9 ORFFA Rising Star scores ]Jesse Hogan was the Round 9 AFL Rising Star nominee, he is ranked equal third above with 90 points.Hogan was selected by the Venus Bay Vultures with 3 at the 2014 PSD and was playing his fourth game of the season in Round 9 after missing all of 2014 due to a back injury. Thanks everyone for continuing to post the scores for your ORFFA Rising Star players. Over the last couple of months I have fallen a long way behind as I gave priority to writing feature articles to celebrate milestones of St Kilda players. I was able to make some inroads for the ORFFA awards by doing two rounds of the Les W Medal votes and one round of the Rising Star scores this weekend. Grav is assisting with the Les W Medal votes which will allow me to focus on the Rising Star scores in the next week.

ORFFA coaches weren't as active with providing their Rising Star scores in the second half of the season as they were with providing scores during the first half of the season. For Rounds 12 to 16 I have updated my spreadsheet with the Rising Star scores getting scores that coaches provided in this thread and including the missing scores, however I also need to add the time on ground% for many players and will do this on a player by player basis once I have completed the scores for Round 17. My plan is to post the Round by Round scores and Rising Star season stats in this thread but it could be 2-3 weeks before I get to that, and then before the 2016 season starts post the articles on the 2015 Rising Star winner and 2015 Les W Medal winner Todd Goldstein. Going to be pretty busy outside business hours in the next week and a half doing some writing for 'Milestones and Misses' - finalising a feature article on SEQ Stars and Australian Opals forward/guard Rachel Jarry and writing an article on the Dandenong Rangers making the WNBL finals for a club record sixth consecutive season.
I think what we need to do in the coming season is to make a real point of getting these scores and TOGs through each week. Put a deadline on it, incorporate it into the weekly round write up (top scorer for each team, Rising star scores for each team) ... make a point of getting it in the right spot and done.
