I had Hopper, Schache and Collins, down in the list I gave to Len..., so he wouldn't have got past me.
Very happy to suggest possible picks for the Misfits' pick upcoming Len. I reckon you will get the poll spot on.
Hey Len - for current and perhaps future reference - how do we go about trading during the drafting process? We can trade for picks upcoming, can't we? If not, and I'm entirely wrong, my apologies. I've not been round these here parts much of late. EDIT - ah, ignore - I've found condition seven of the draft in the draft thread!! Where should we post an available player for trade if we have one?
lol, I rate him above Hopper mate, have done since October last year, but even though I was sweating on him getting to me I nearly didn't pick him because of his jumper.. It's not like I am short of orange and there is a certain young lion I really like the look of also.
I see CR got his man. Aaron is a cracker, in my notes I have this quote from a "scout": "I think he will captain an AFL team, reminds me of Voss a lot in his attitude." Sadly, he just did not fit into my plan for the Cows.
All three of the picks that I identified after pick 8 were available still at 11 which made the decision all the more difficult as none of them will be available at Pick 43. In the end, had to think long term with my ageing defence, although he won't really help me this year (as much as I'd like/need him to).
Len is setting the bar very high in the home boy stakes. I am at the other end of the scale and only have one St Kilda player, Sam Gilbert. It is unlikely, but do any of the ORFFA club's have no players from the AFL club that their coach supports?
Not a hope of such madness in the Darraweit-Lovely Banks household. Too many Richmond and Geelong players respectively.
With Chris Yarran leaving Carlton I have no Blues in my side. Not that I really want any...I'm trying to win the ORFFA after all.
Once I drafted the FF squad and felt it be a thing of power and beauty with some good hope of finals from year one, I realised that I love my Misfits the way they are, and when the "Orange tsunami" rolls through the comp I will be perched on top on my longboard enjoying a toke Scary thing, for me, I'm still picking one more this draft.
I was very close to delisting Angus Litherland this pre-season, and he is my only Hawk. He is probably my 24th player (or 25th now that Ive got Clarke)
OK, I'm going to dip the toe in the water and be the guinea pig here - I'm putting a guy up for trade during the draft and seeking a draft pick in return. Obviously, the higher the better. The player - Brent Harvey. No real need to go into all the details - 90+ppg forward, averaged something like 110ppg or so during last year's finals so the guy remains a freak. 2016 is almost certainly his last season of course. So this offer is probably best suited to teams who need an extra quality forward to get them over the line, up the hill, add whatever cliche you might ... or who wish to get a forward for a year to help cover as younger guys mature. As I said, I'm seeking a draft pick - the earlier the better really. I'm not staging an auction so I have the ability to withdraw this offer at any times if the players chosen in the draft don't fall my way. Gambling and taking chances really. Let's see how this turns out..... Send me a PM. I'll be around.
Good get Len. Certainly on everyone's radar, but didn't think you would let him slip. Neither did the millionaire COC.
The way I read rule 7.. ..is that everything is one for one. So you would be asking for: a player and an active pick in exchange for Harvey and one of your active picks. Yeah?
