It would need to be better than that to get the job done anyway Chris. If we did this deal at the end of the season I'm sure you would agree a Top 10 defender/forward with 3-4 years left is worth more than just a 1st round pick.

In reality that deal materialises for both of us next year, we would just be agreeing to it now lol

That's a fair call Bandit. But with a year removed and speculation even today as to Hooker's future, I'd be taking a little more of a chance on him when bidding.

Though he is quality. Real quality.

I am putting Luke Hodge on the block in return for a starting ruckman!

Since the inexplicable (some say idiotic in IK circles) decision to trade Todd Goldstein the Knob have had a serious dilemma in the ruck.

We are looking for a ruckman who is pencilled in as his teams starter and is in the upper tier of the leagues big men.

Hodge, in case you dont know who he is, averaged 108 last year and although is 30, is a total gun! get your bids in!

Given that I put forward an illegal trade proposal ... maybe next year is the best time to discuss!!

Bandit - I bid Steven May (24 year old GC defender, 74-75 average over the past 2 years- yep, not under 23 but rather more entrenched in the Suns best 22) and my second round PSD pick in 2017 for Andrew Swallow.

    OK Bandit - modified offer:

Steven May and my first rounder in the 2017 PSD for Andrew Swallow and your second rounder.

As we saw this year, the gap in quality between the first and second round opened up considerably.

I'll make it a bit simpler perhaps ... I'll withdraw my bid for Mr Swallow, guys.

Considering the auction has already ended I would have thought it's too late for the offer to be accepted anyway

    Really?
If the trade period has finished, yes i agree it would be too late.
But there is no obligation on someone to advise reserve is met (or not) before the auction ends, so it can be done afterwards.
Theres been plenty of auctions where the decision has been made after the auction has ended.

Sounds like some clarity needed here. I don't recall any auctions in FA where auction ended then "reserve met" declared.
Might just be me but if an auction gets to its deadline and the item owner hasn't advised that reserve has been met by any bids then the item remains with the original owner. Auction over. If not, then what's the point of having a deadline?

Yeah i could definitely be wrong on auctions in the past. I wrote that whilst i was stopped at traffic lights, and now that ive thought mire about it.it seems like it would be a rare occurrence.
