Moving day tomorrow so unlikely to be until late if at all so posting this a bit earlier than normal. @That KI Guy @Tracey and myself will be watching the Hawks/Crows game together which promises to be a treat, both for company and as a game. Hope the week brings you all something awesome, except a win over any of my teams in any comp be at it
Let me decipher this. Watching live = Mike in Melbourne. Watching on the box = Mike in Sydney (exactly which part of Sydney depending on keys and vans). Enjoy.
Round 5 Provisional Hoppers - pending who is left standing after tonight's shenanigans with the Black Swamp. @TheTassieHawk turned up with his mob & 21 slabs on their way to Jan Juc. Training was reduced to merely carrying said slabs to the outdoor bar to ensure we had enough time to consume said slabs........... Ins: Rocky Out: Langdon EM's: We welcome Charlie Cameron back into the squad, along with 1st gamer Mason (Yank) Cox DEF: HGrundy/ JKolo* / Aish / Weitering* (Cameron) MID: Rocky / Neale / Cripps / Adams (Langdon*) FWD: Stringer / Billings / JMartin / Brayshaw (Cockatoo) RCK: BGrundy (Cox) I/CE: Mills* / ECurnow

And the kids are going to be picked where appropriate.
A couple of changes this week for our match up with The Wine Bay Packers; best of luck in our inaugural encounter Tracey. We at Cows HQ are not unfamiliar with wine and plan to pack a fair amount away over the weekend and Anzac Day. Tom Campbell selected for his first game for the club in an experimental three rucks afield set up. Alex Neal-Bullen finds his way onto the E list, but might yet be swapped with the recently disappointing Nick Graham. Toby McLean given a rest - which I do not understand. FFS, he is 19 and played 4 games this year at around 70% TOG. D - J McVeigh, J McGovern, H Taylor, R Harwood (E - D Howe*) M - N Fyfe, D Hannebery, T Mitchell, N Graham (E - ANB*) R - S Jacobs F - D Menzel, C Sinclair, T Campbell, M Wood (E - T McLean*) I/C - A Hall, M Robinson Lest we forget.
Misfits squad to take on the hoppers is; DEFENDER Rory Laird, Daniel Rich, Orazio Fantasia, Jack Hombsch MIDFIELDER Callan Ward, Josh Kelly, Lachie Whitfield, Luke Dunstan RUCK Andrew Phillips FORWARD Caleb Daniel, Joe Daniher, Josh Bruce, Devon Smith (Riley Knight) INTERCHANGE Zachary Williams, Lachlan Weller (Michael Hartley) Tomlinson out and Hartley to emergency Smith and Dunstan in, Knight comes in as an emergency This feels fearsome, I'm sure sNoZ will be shitting himself
Scheduled to have our internet connected at home next Thursday so hopefully Tracey can do her own team next week, for the cross Tasman clash her squad is significantly improved in number at least with 14 players available, up from last weeks 12.. DEFENDER Nathan Wilson, Paul SEEDSMAN, Sean Dempster, Jimmy Webster MIDFIELDER Tom SCULLY, Rory Sloane, Danyle Pearce, Anthony Miles RUCK Jonathon Griffin FORWARD Tom Lynch, Alexander FASOLO, Jefferey Garlett, Sam Kerridge INTERCHANGE Brandon MATERA, George Hewett (Mark HUTCHINGS) Matera and Hutchings named in hope. This ANZAC clash feels more likely to resemble Waterloo than Beersheba, but one never knows, and she is light on horses
Wagga Wagga IN: Dempsey, J.Cripps, L.Thomas, O'Shea OUT: M.Jones (soreness), Prestia (illness), Lycett (suspended), Oliver (rested) Def: Macmillan, S.D.Thompson, Sheppard, Dempsey (Impey) Mid: Shiel, Griffen, Gibbs, Picken (Van Berlo) Ruc: K.Tippett Fwd: Franklin, Sicily, Jenkins, L.Thomas (Lennon) Int: J.Cripps, O'Shea (Longer)
Some further changes to the Cows with the naming of what might be the final teams. D - J McVeigh, J McGovern, H Taylor, R Harwood (E - D Howe*) M - N Fyfe, D Hannebery, T Mitchell, M Wood (E - ANB*) R - S Jacobs F - M Robinson, D Menzel, T Campbell, T McLean* I - A Hall, C Sinclair (E - N Graham) With Caleb Daniel a latish withdrawal the Cows management group hope Toby gets decent ToG and an opportunity to show his skill. Lest we forget
Cradle Mountain’s Round 5 team: In: J Steele Out: N Vlastuin (leg) Def: J Lever, L Spurr, S Gilbert, N Smith (Z Jones) Mid: S Pendlebury, D Zaharakis, S Grigg, J Redden, (J Hopper) Ruc: J Roughead Fwd: D Zorko, S Johnson, B Kennedy, D Petrie (J Walker) Inter: J Steele, L Shiels (T Nankervis)
Thanks @Len and @Tracey for the hospitality in the new pad. Great night and good result for my tips. However the sickeningly even spread of sc scores in this game has me questioning why I have so many Hawks in my team.
Loved having you over mate, apologies for the cardboard city and Tracey's week causing her to nod off rather early, welcome highlight in a shit week
Gariwerd Cockatoos team to take on the reigning premiers: In: Mitch Wallis, Harry Cunningham Out: Chris Masten, Jared Polec D: BSmith, Hurn, Mackie, Dunn (Tuohy) M: Steven, Wallis, Guthrie, NJones R: Hickey F: Wingard, TWalker, Christensen, Miller (Jong) I: MCrouch, Cunningham (Masten) I set up my team in a rush and totally forgot both to name a mid emergency, and also to name Jeremy Cameron... but a game in the magoos will probably do him good after so long away from the game.
Tracey's Wine Bay heading for their best score since the 1263 in round 2. Currently I (and I am not the most reliable person) have them at 1121 / 13 with Fasolo to play. The Cows have managed to limp to 1261 / 14. Limp being the operative word with Nat Fyfe latest injury bringing an unwelcome end to what might have been the first decent score this year for the club that CR once, in a prescient moment, described as ORFFA's version of Freo. For those of you who had the C on the Cow's star I feel for you, believe me I feel your pain. Bloody hell. Very aware that Fas posted a 137 in round 2 so a spooky feeling pervades the Bulls Hit Tavern - you do the math. The music world lost the artist formally known as Prince during the week. Purple Rain apparently was big for him. I keep hearing it in my inner ear. And I am guessing a purple reign was what Ross the Boss was planning for Freo. At least the Cows are not winless after 5 weeks. Purple bloody reign.
