      hey mate - I was in a similar position last year and in another year and managed to crack the top 2500 last year and top 500 the other time. I guess it depends how high you are aiming but I would normally change to a league focus around round 9 if it continues to go pearshaped for overall.

      The only thing that annoys me about it is the unknown nature of it.

      ie- I traded out Nick Graham last week. As a forward now, that's a wasted trade.

      That's a really good point, not that much of an issue in dream team with two trades available every week. Bu tin SC where trades are valued more highly it would be a real pain

      But what if it was known that this was a possibility.. would you hold out on the trade in the hope of the player gaining DPP?

      If they put up the data so that you could see whether a player was headed towards DPP, I'd be all for it. :D

      2120 but could have been worse, thankfully ran with goldys 125 for C.
      Fyfe and Benken upgrade this week to Selwood/Simpson to stay in the hunt, at 5300.

      Stuffed up my bench / VC loophole to turn Goldy into my captain. Left it on Fyfe. That extra 150 would have got me into the top 10.

      i did the same thing mate. sux, hey.
      didn't cost you 150 tho. Goldy only scored about 70 more than Fyfe.

      Who's everyone looking at for Fyfe? I've got a few choices but looking strongest at Priddis. I see him as the best player not in my side. but there's other good options around that price with lower breakevens.
      He does have Geelong and Port who he averages lower against, but I had a look further into that stats from the last 2 years and it wasn't too bad apart from 1 game against Geelong

      yeah, but you had both of them.
      Fyfe x2 = 106 + Goldy 125 = 231
      Goldy x2 = 250 + Fyfe 53 = 303

      303-231 = 72 points you missed out on.
