ORFFL Round 7 Preview: It would be hard to have designed a more even draw this round if you picked the match ups on Monday. I won’t do a full preview due to time commitments, but maybe we can get some comments/chat going this week. This week sees Poowong take on Humpty Doo, PBR v Coulta, Queenstown v Warburton and Jimcumbilly v Woy Woy who are all on 2 wins and 4 losses. In another mid table clash Milikapati take on MBD both on 3 wins and 3 losses. At the bottom of the table, but after both winning last week the Bullfrogs take on the Bandits in an early battle for Pick 1 - The McCluggage Mug? This leaves the top 6 to battle it out against each other with the 2nd placed Gunslingers looking to keep their unbeaten run against the improving Pigs, Popanyinning in 4th to test their form against the higher scoring but 5th placed Magicians and in the match of the round the marauding Seagulls take on the unconquered Savages. After failing miserably with the tips last week I will leave you all to draw your own conclusions this week except to say Go Pigs!
We lost our rising star hopeful this week, who gets to sit on the pine with Suckling, Roughy, Elliot, Conca and old man Cloke. #Brutal The team is held together with gaffa tape at the moment. Lets hope that Goldi-late-out rumour isn't a thing. Time to dig deep boys!!
And as a show of sportsmanship and fair-play, I will personally force-feed the coach of Mallacoota his bag this week.
Ahhh, the age old Bircher SideBum Cup, a cherished piece of silverware for both MBD and Mikilapiti. After a disastrous display last week, the Snakes are keen to rebound, though the loss of bert and Stevens don't help our cause.
Unless a few underperforming players Biggs it up this week, think you're safe for another week. But happy to accept your resignation on Sunday if the need arises.
Now Sinclair is out as well, leaving Queenstown with a FWD emergency that wont count and two donuts on I/C. Some great scores from other players as well which probably wont matter, the ORFFL can be a cruel mistress sometimes.
There's no shame in it at all. We've all had to eat a bag at one time or another. Who the fuck is John Harmes though? Coming 3rd in the ORFFL Rising Sun award. Never heard of the guy.
Its James, and he's been a very good form for the Snakes. Plays high half forward, and we love what he brings to the club, he's really worked on his forward pressure, and he's showing good consistency of effort within games. Within in the grass thatchings of our humpy that is our club rooms, we are very pleased with his progress.
****ing injuries to defenders, seriously my team is cursed. This week I have lost Fisher and Adams who join Murphy and McKenzie already on the sidelines.
It was a real mixed bag from the Pigs this week but did enough to get across the line. Based on your comment I'm guessing you have the Savages on ignore which is completely understandable.
