I didn't know Ararat were taking on Banchang. That really is taking this seriously - flying over with the team!!!
The Armadillos have returned from an overseas scouting mission trying to poach some players away from Banchang. Gillon JPK McLachlan was well aware of aforementioned mission which we sought sanction for well in advance. Whilst it's too early to tell if we were successful in luring the likes of Docherty or Adams, the team enjoyed their mini retreat and are feeling refreshed. Thanks go to @tyze1 and the SFB fellas for posting an away-team match report; very gentlemanly of you.
1/9 Viking take the lead 286/3/95 looks impressive but two scores of 50 @ddsaints Parasites 102/1/102 pooya for the round straight up Mitchell 178
Early in the match at Southern Cross and it's @insider 's Armadillos with the fast start, leading 2/141/70 to the Sandgropers 0/0/0. With 10 of the home side's 15 players not able to arrive until half time due to their maxi-taxi driver (Trevor only moved here last week and doesn't have a gps) taking them to neighbouring Coolgardie, the locals are hoping Ararat doesn't build an unassailable lead.
Hahahahha They came to watch a good game? Atleast they got to see JPK put in a good performance last night!
Unfortunately, as I now think about it, they had to watch on the big screen with the fans, as the Prospectors are away at Staghorn Flat.
The home town supporters worst fears have been realised with @insider 's visiting Armadillos (1093/12/91) storming out to an early lead over the Sandgropers (378/5/76). After being snubbed in a trade deal last year Gawn decided to show what Southern Cross were missing by smashing it in the ruck scoring 167. With the taxi due to arrive back from Coolgardie shortly it'll take monster performances from the rest of the team to close the gap. From here however it seems like this one is over before the home team even got going.
Half time at The Stadium see the Bunyips skip away from the Barcrawlers and they lead the home team 13/997 to 8/558.
Midway through the 3rd quarter at Eden Sporting Complex and the Buffaloes lead 10/811 (81.1) to 10/683 (68.3) Leuenberger a key out and Cam Wood didn't end up viable (there will be much action during the bye weeks)
Early estimates have the Grenades 1138 narrowly defeated by the Prairie Dogs 1148 but this will be confirmed at lockout as I don't trust my maths @Batfink
