Exactly! Sheesh. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but only time will tell who comes out on top here. We were both happy with the deal (instigated and proposed by @ddsaints). Several people have made offers for Blicavs during this trade period (and countless in the past - all to no avail). He is clearly a unique player rated highly across the board. ddsaints made me the best offer, I accepted, end of story. I think I got a good deal obviously otherwise I wouldn't have let Blicavs go. Was I not friendly and fair in our trade discussions @bryzza. Didn't you get what you wanted? A little ruck envy? @eagle_eyed. From memory you had a big crack at Blicavs last year. If you've changed your mind and don't value rucks anymore, I would be willing to discuss a trade for Ryder with you now that I'm down a ruck... Thanks for the suport @JPK - as someone who has steered their team to an imposing 2-10 record this season, I do need it. That said, I would consider it far from sly of me to accept a trade proposed to me during friendly trade discussions by someone obviously very keen on one of my players, who had also initiated the discussion. As someone with a reasonably deep ruck divison I guess you're dirtying up because you know the value of a Blicavs type in this format?... I do still have a big 'ol bag of D's I'd be willing to trade your way if it helps? - hit me up anytime... Am I missing something? I thought the aim of this whole thing was to build the best team possible? If someone in this league thinks someone else has done partcularly well out of a trade wouldn't you just say "well done and good luck to you" (as I have done several times in the past). Saying "it's not fair", "I wanted that player and he said no" is poor form IMO. Rant over
@Mick you're free to do any deal with any other coach you like; all I said was 'Talk about overs', I haven't said I'd veto the deal. You're obviously going hard on a rebuild and good luck to you. dd is happy you're happy good luck to you both, just saying I wouldn't have paid that. No need to rant although it is great to see you posting
Southern Cross would like to announce they have struck a deal with Pearcedale that sees Lachie Hunter change places with Devon Smith. In what is a win/win trade the Panthers were keen on a gun mid and the Sandgropers are confident they have now finished their forward line. Southern Cross wish Lachie all the best in his quest for silverware and welcome Devon to the sunny goldfields.
@Yad No one wanted Barlow weeks ago. 2 good games and I've suddenly given up gold? I really thought I was getting the good deal, I'm really confused on why there is an issue here. I must value rucks differently to you blokes. Each to there own but I'm very disappointed to see a veto cast. I suppose I'll see how this plays out. Thanks
I cant speak for @YAD69 barlow and 1st round pick either msd or psd for blicavs wouldn't have raised any eyebrows but the extra 1st round is has.
No more taunting from @eagle_eyed about Hunter.... Now I guess I get to look forward to it from @TigersTooTough
To be honest bryzza I don't value MSD picks at all.......hahaha although I did just delist 2 players so that doesn't make sense. I just wanted to secure the deal so I threw that in, it is pick 13 so if you look through who is available at 13 it's not a lot is it? I figured the 4th best ruck in the league is worth throwing everything at. As I said earlier I'm honestly over the moon about the deal and if I had to throw more draft picks at Mick to secure the deal then I would have.
Fair call, hope Blicavs keeps his ruck status as he is only avg 8 HO a game as apposed to 16 HO a game last year
Vikings send Laverde and PSD round 3 to Smugglers for MSD pick 20 and Pakenhams PSD round 2 which was on traded to Smugglers
