James Aish & Brandon Matera are back playing for their clubs and have put themselves on the market. Open to any offers for either or both
checked the rules but couldnt see - draft start tonight at first bounce or midnight or tomorrow 0900 or what?
I actually had it as 8am Eastern on Saturday 2 July. http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/2016-discussion-thread.88434/page-24#j9Z6q1WKUlJXXgfg.97 I imagine people are getting twitchy fingers and wanting to start drafting. I also didn't take into account Malcolm's decision to call an election on mid season draft opening day! The issue is that we haven't had the closure of the trading and delistment period yet (I wanted to keep that open until the team lists were finalised, as it may sway some peoples decisions on who to keep and who to dump.... Nathan Broad anyone???). We can't have both running concurrently - we've already decided that its too difficult. Delistments close 10pm Eastern on Friday. I'll finalise the FA list and post it on Friday night. Anyone who wants to start drafting then, is welcome to, but the clock won't start ticking until 8am on Saturday. I'll also add a little leniency in the first day to the clock, because of the election. We otherwise only need to average around 7 picks a day (Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed - so 35 picks total, which I thought was a good guess as to how many we'd actually need). We've averaged this for most drafts over the past couple of years, so it seemed fair to me when I came up with the dates / times.
I'm after a high MSD pick - ideally top 5 but open to other options. Offering up a reasonable combination of my PSD round 2 (should be around pick 20-24) + MSD picks 21 & 39 + Kayne Turner depending on how high the pick is. Happy to discuss via PM or in this thread. Hoping to Finalise things by 6pm AEST
The ironic part is I originally got Aaron Young from a draft pick I traded from a pick I got for Tom Mitchell, then again the others were Hendo (Traded for P25: Scully) and McStay (Traded for M17). Good enough in retrospect though
I actually find this story interesting. @bryzza came in and adopted a team that was languishing. He's basically turned over every single player, made the team completely his own, and now they're half decent. I think the lesson here for us all is: when our team sucks, just trade out everyone over a 2-year period, and start again!
