So, Mccluggage is a stone cold lock for the #1 now, isn't he?

Reckon Taranto might have done enough to break into the top 5.

Gunna be a huge trade week though!

Looks to be a great draft year for mids, batting pretty deep

I've been trying to locate the trade that gave Carlton's 4th rounder to the Western Bulldogs but can't find it. Any clues?

Certainly does. Lot of talent up the top end this year.

If McClug didn't look so good, I'd be interested in the Bombers trading 1 for a pair of lesser first rounders from the Giants/Suns

CONTRACT NEWS: GWS Giants have re-signed Rory Lobb.
He'll stay at the club until 2019.

      Big signing for the Giants.

Cheers walesy. The archived copy of AFL website that I could see only mentioned the early pick exchange and the current trade tracker doesn't have a link (although it does for every other pick exchange!).

Isn't the talk that the Bombers are looking at doing that though?

Certainly has been. Not sure if it will continue after Clug's latest outing though! Killed it. :D

Can't help himself (not sure I spell cant right there) One of the three 1st round picks we have is the pies, if he doesn't us to have to have it don't trade it twat..

I don't think it would be a huge hurt if we only drafted from our acadmey for 2 years, but thats a huge restriction as a precedent, if he gets 2 father sons cheap in one year is that ok, or should 3 be the limit?

Should the giants be only able to participate in trades that don't benefit us?

He is pandering to the Vic audience as does the Hun, and it's not giant specific we are just the bunny this period, I still remember the media hype/hysteria when the Swans and the Eagles played in the GF, the bloody world was going to end apparently..

You'd be all over the dogs at Betfair on those odds

I think Eddie just alternates between whingeing about the "interstate" clubs and bashing soccer or the A-League, as you say there seems to be an audience for that type of thing.

I had $20 on us to win the GF by 1-39 paying $3.00.
But other than the Melbourne Cup, I am unlikely to bet again until next year's Brownlow.

Yep, it does two things, it puts pressure on the AFL knowing there is a vociferous agitator with an audience for or against anything that may impact Collingwood, and it helps sell papers in Melbourne.
Much as I was genuinely delighted for the dogs and was genuinely on their bandwagon, the AFL established media all week was so full of bias it was ridiculous, AFL360 became almost unwatchable as an exmaple, and the HUN may as well have been based in Footscray for the last 3 weeks of finals.
I get it was a great story, but it wasn't the only one..

I don't recall him bleating about knobbling Hawthorn for the last 3 years

      Nice :)
No way I'm backing the giants at those odds, I might put something on saints to make top 6 if I can get good enough odds

I thought AFL360 was highly watchable, in fact I've watched the post-GF episode twice. :)

Sydney got more or less the same treatment in the lead-up to the 2005 GF as we did this year. Those Sydney supporters who complained about the media coverage this year simply have short memories if they can't recall what went on during 2005.

In any case, Andrew Wu was certainly still doing his bit to provide pro-Sydney "informative journalism".
