Omera trade still in lead! 29ers trade good, but O'meara is a bigger preference to me

    No worries mate,
    Good trades all-round

Maralinga Atoms bid still holds the reserve with O'meara and pick 38

(im satisfied with pick 38 and don't feel it is essential to go further with the pick. Player value is now where the trade is dependent on)

Tassie, I would have vetoed this bid as the pick swap you put up altered the item for auction (it would be considered a negotiation in my books).

Just thought I would put it out there.

@YAD69, I understand the point of view mate, we had this same discussion early on in rules discussion, one viewpoint was that the draft pick exchange is a means of altering the "price paid" for the auction item (ie in an extreme case someone with PSD picks 1,92,93,94,95,96 could therefore participate in the auction if PSD pick 40 is the approximate value of the item) rather than an adjustment to the item being bid for and ultimately it is for the seller to decide (much the same as they subjectively decide whether they prefer JOM to Cotchin or other when assessing players).

Obviously if the above bid was preferred by the seller but vetoed then we would expect that the Auction rule would need to be amended to either include or exclude those types of bids in future, for consistencies sake.

thanks for the clarification @Dale Duivesteyn

I will reluctantly drop out of the bidding, but will be interested to see whether anyone else enters the running at (literally) the 11th hour.

    @TheTassieHawk
I understand what your saying but it still sounds like a negotiation to me (i.e. I give you this if you give me that). I just dont think the seller should be thinking about what's in his own pocket when considering a bid. Surely it should be bid verses bid, no change given.

Down to the last hour! Maralinga Atoms looks to be the only one in the race, good bidding tassihawk, good luck in your next one. Everyone will be headed to bed before this one's done.

    One hour left!

    Agreed. Smacks of negotiation.

Also, I feel it breeches below (from rules in OP):
No bid can be conditional on outcomes not directly related to the auction at hand.

Yeah agree with YAD69 thought there was a rule about it. There was a trade and auction like that before though.

Congrats to Maralinga Atoms who now owns goldy in exchange for pick 38 and O'meara! Good stuff, will remove goldy now Maralinga Atoms so you can add him in.

Im not sure who to speak to about the draft pick!

I'll bite. Putting Tom Liberatore up until trade deadline -10 hours, to give a window for potential trades if reserve not met.

After young talented forwards/defenders of similar ilk, high draft picks or combinations.

I will update the pick list shortly, is there a veto period on trades still?
