Well...after the tigers talked up Yarran's return to training last week they go and cut him today! I guess once Prestia joined I was always going to have one Tiger too many so it's adios Chris!
Banchang wishes to advise that 3 more players have now been de-listed from The Barcrawlers. They are Clancee Pearce Jack Grimes Will Minson We take this opportunity to thank them for their service, as miniscule as it was.......
While I completely disagree with the AFL allowing a 300-game player to be a rookie, I'm more than happy to have Drew Petrie at the Eagles, and may have to reconsider showing him the door at the Prospectors. I think the Eggnog has gone to a few peoples' heads a little earlier this year!
Grimes didn't even nominate for the rookie or national draft shows his commitment to the game no wonder they delisted him Sent from my GT-N7105T using Tapatalk
Cam O'Shea and Mitch Clark have sailed off into the expanses of the Indian Ocean after being delisted by the Buffaloes
In light of news that Scott Lycett is recovering slowly from his knee reco, and Nic Naitanui is still due back at the end of 2017, I will be holding onto Drew Petrie, as he's almost certainly going to be upgraded to the main list, and play a decent amount of games. Lets just hope we can see some 100's and not 65's....
I originally did, yes. I was however of the understanding that because the delistment period hasn't closed (still haven't put a date on that), and we haven't had any extra drafts, it has no effect, and we were allowed to relist a player. There was also a precedent set in the mid season delistment period - I can't remember who was involved - but the coach was allowed to relist a delisted player because drafting hadn't commenced yet, so it didn't effect anything. If anyone disagrees with me, then please say so. I'm pretty sure I won't be allowed to make an executive decision on my own actions (can anyone say "conflict of interest"?)
Might I also suggest that once the positional changes come out in full, that all ORFFU members strive to update their teams in tsLeagues asap, regarding trades in/out and delistments, as well as when any future trading may occur. That, then in turn brings the FA List up to date in readiness for the PSD next month.
Ah all good mate. Wasn't sure on the ruling. Who knows with Petrie, new club, last chance, he could just go very well. But no, I won't be trying to get him across to the Bunyips (just yet)
Sam Fisher has retired and the club was pleased that he waited until season's end to make the decision. The club thanks him for his service.
